READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW FOR HONEST HELP
I'd like to explain and touch on some reviews: First off, great product! I've been using S&C bars for 3+ years now and these are by far the largest and I do enjoy the way they work. I typically bought the more expensive ones and they did good, but they didn't lather as much, last as long, or condition as well. This product lathers far more and with less, and the conditioner- just whoa lol LESS IS FAR MORE!!!! I find myself using 1/3 the amount I used to with my old bars. Now to touch on reviews- It takes the same if not less time than bottle liquid stuff, just learn your routine. Also, when you do it, only use the shampoo on the top of your scalp and just lather it in the rest of your scalp. For the Conditioner, do lines down your hair first, then do a few strokes randomly on the scalp and use your fingers to brush it through. Then twist your hair into a bun and do your washing and shaving etc THEN rinse fully at the end. Does way better this way! As for the scent of the exact one I bought, it smells amazing (very fruity and citrus like i enjoy, I hate floral and coconut scents so it was up my alley. But once the shampoo gets wet, the smell is odd, but goes away once you rinse your hair. All in all, great product especially at the price point as I'm used to bars less than half the size for more. I do wish they'd offer more scents (straight citrus) but they do have a great variety of what it helps and hair types! These bars are far more than just a few bottles so yea you're saving a lot of money!!!! ALSO, GET A BAR HOLDER TO HELP KEEP THEM DRY BETWEEN SHOWERS!!!

Over the Moon!
I was very skeptical of bar shampoo/conditioners but I was also desperate to find a solution for my scalp. Chatgpt actually helped me find this brand and pick which one I needed for my concerns, heali kiwi bundle - itchy, oily, build uppy, limp hair. They aren't lying when they say this is concentrated I rubbed it all over my head thinking it would barely lather but it was actually a lot and man is the lather rich and creamy. I could use a 50 cent piece sized dollup of bottle shampoo and still not achieve that lather. Scrubbed my head really good and rinsed and my hair felt clean and smooth, it didn't catch on itself and immediately tangle up like my bottled product causes my hair to do. The conditioner leaves the hair feeling smooth but not weighed down. I air dryed my hair, went to bed, woke up and my hair still feels so soft, healthy and voluminous! I have naturally wavy/curly hair and it dried so much bouncier and more defined. My scalp isn't itchy, it's not oily after sleeping on it like I normally experience, and I'm just very very happy. 10/10 recommend this brand for its quality, clean ingredients, and affordability.

Ethique Gentle really is!
This is a review for the Ethique Gentle Unscented Shampoo Bar with Cocoa Butter. There are reviews for other Ethique shampoo bars here as well so I wanted to be clear. After deciding to reduce my use of plastic bottles, I started trying out solid shampoo and conditioner products. I tried a few different brands before deciding to try Ethique and I started with the St. Clements for oily hair. I've had an oily scalp and skin since puberty, but now I'm much older and am also growing my hair out, so the oiliness is all at the top of my scalp. As beauty experts tell us, stripping all oils just makes your body produce more, so I've been looking for a shampoo that doesn't do that. Unfortunately, the Ethique St. Clements dried my hair and scalp out severely to the point where my scalp itched all the time and the returning oils made my hair greasy again really fast, especially at the front where I'm growing out my bangs. It was frustrating to throw out a barely used bar of expensive shampoo, but I did it and bought the Ethique Gentle bar in the new quarter moon shape because my scalp was so, so unhappy. During my first shampoo with it, I could feel my scalp relaxing and my hair felt soft instead of "squeaky clean" (i.e. rough and dry). Combing out my wet hair was easy without using a conditioner and my dry hair was much softer than it had been. The quarter moon shape of the bar was also much easier to use than the square shape and washing my hair was all around more pleasant. But the true test came after several days when my scalp no longer itched and didn't produce a lot of oil. The hair at the top of my scalp was still fluffy and not oily after several days. I've only washed my hair twice so far with the Gentle bar, but the difference is huge. What a relief! It would be awfully nice if Ethique made travel/sample size bars of shampoo so we could test out different types without spending a bunch of money and maybe wasting product. I'm pretty sure a box of all the types in a small size would be a worthwhile product - friends could even share a box during their hunt for the shampoo that works best for them.

Love the product, but didn’t last 80 washes
The good: I love the way this shampoo (Heali Kiwi) cleans my hair, and I love being able to pack a solid shampoo for extended travel. The bad: This bar does not last a full 80 uses for me. The first two photos are right out of the package. The last photo is what was left after 48 uses. I have thick, shoulder length hair, and I find that I need to rub the bar directly on my hair to get a good lather. I let the bar dry completely in between uses on a soap dish with drainage slats. I think the original square shape may last slightly longer, as the crescent shape’s ends break off more easily as it gets thinner. If you have a buzz cut, this would probably last 80 uses. Once the bar gets to little pieces like this, I find it much more difficult to rub and lather.Overall, this is a good splurge for my summer travels, but I’m not sure that I would choose it for everyday use due to the price per use.
