I asked a LOT of questions as a kid, so my exasperated (and possibly brilliant!) mom got me Oxford school dictionary and told me there I would find the meaning of many of the words I was curious about. I ended up just flipping through and learning so much. FFWD 20+ years, I found myself struggling to define words for my own curious girl and that memory just came flooding back. I decided to get her her own dictionary. I’ve taught her how to look up words, sometimes we’ll look up words together, now she’ll go find them herself, or tell her dad “let’s look it up😄”The next step for me was the Encyclopedia, I guess I’ll have to instruct on search engines and reliable sources next (she’s 5)

It’s quite easy to follow and understand.
