Leather holsters and inside the waistband holders that use clips would probably be fine. Very limited use
The belt is very, very thick, so thick that I can't use it to carry certain holsters such as the ones for my Glock. If you use an outside the waistband, polymer holster that expects a standard thickness belt, this is NOT the belt to buy as they likely won't fit or will be too difficult to put on. Leather holsters and inside the waistband holders that use clips would probably be fine. Very limited use, though, because of the thickness. On the plus side, it'll last a long time.Update 11/1/2017Thought I'd post an update after taking off another star. The belt is just okay, but not really usable for me. The problems (as partially mentioned before) are 1) it's too thick for some of my holsters and 2) the inner layer is way too grippy. For the first issue, I could always buy another holster, but a replacement belt is usually cheaper or the same price. The main problem is with the second issue.I usually carry OWB simply because it's more comfortable and if I'm carrying all day, I want comfort. First is that the tackiness/grippiness of the inner material makes it difficult to loop through a pair of pants because anywhere it grabs the fabric, it wants to stay. Okay, that can be worked. Where the problems with the inner layer really comes into play is adjusting my pants/fabric and the holster and/or mag pouches after I've "locked" the belt in. The grip layer doesn't let anything move/slide for placement. It's a major pain to move any fabric that has bunched up.Likewise, adjusting the holster into final position is a major pain. I usually carry in the 3 or 4 o'clock position, but riding in a car, I move my holster a little forward so that it doesn't dig into me or the seat as much. It's impossible to slide a holster with this belt. It's just not worth the trouble.I found it easier to just order a new belt and went with the Blade-Tech Ultimate Belt and have to say that I agree with the name of the belt. I love that you cut the belt to size, it slides on and off easily enough, allows me to adjust my holster as needed, and really, really like the micro-adjusting ratcheting system. Rather than having to tighten/loosen 1 inch at a time, you adjust 1/4 inch at a time. Perfect so far.

Will hold your load.
Bought this belt in size 36, black. Pretty much what I expected. The polymer backing against the leather front makes for a thick sturdy belt. Top and bottom of the belt is stitched to keep polymer back and leather front together. The whole front of the belt is plain leather. The polymer backing is a dark gray and a little tacky. It's thick but not too stiff that you can't bend it but it's not as yielding as a plain leather belt. My EDC load is a S&W J frame revolver in a "101 Holsters" kydex belt holster, four speed loader pouches from Jox with Comp I speed loaders, a 2x2x2 ammo pouch, a glove pouch and a Blackberry and Note 3 in horizontal belt pouches. Handled the load comfortably. I could easily have used a size 38 but then the tail would have overlapped the 1:00 area where I carry my Blackberry. I prefer a shorter tail so that 1:00 area is free for me to carry my Blackberry in a pouch. Follow their sizing instructions.

Works great at first - with one flaw
So i really love this belt and run it every day for my needs. The belt appears to be built very robustly, and has held up well after about 6 months of constant use. Aside for normal wear and tear, there is one quality defect on one of the belts i use ( i have 2 that i rotate between).I have the following issue however which would drop my 4 star rating down to 3. On the buckle end of the belt, there are two "rivets" that connect the two sides of the belt together. One of those rivets (which is threaded) backed itself all the way out and fell out. For whatever reason Magpul didnt put anyway to screw it back in aside from just using your fingers.I see they just released a v2 of the belt, which i will try next and hope they fixed this on the new version.

Now THIS is a very secure belt!
I have finally found a good belt. This one. This one right here! It fully supports my EDC and holster weighing 34 ounces, and an extra magazine and holder weighing 11 oz. As you can see, the weight of my EDC and mag is fairly average. Some may even say a bit on the light side.However... this was the first belt out of 4 (yes, FOUR!) that I have tried that could do the job. Also, this belt arrived with a perfect fit and finish. As it should in the $60-80 price range. Other gun belts I have tried had arrived looking like quality control had left the building. Pitiful. (Please see my other reviews and look at the pictures for yourself)While this Magpul belt has plenty of rigidity, I do not consider it to be overly thick. And it is set up to make buckle changes very easy. It literally took less than a minute.

Great belt!
Fantastic belt to hold up even the heaviest of boomsticks! Gave it 4 stars as the belt tip catches on the retainer when pitting it on which is frustrating. The other small issue which I should have expected is the belt is so stiff it tends to cut into my hip a bit if I tighten it up alot. But I will absolutely buy another! I'm actually waiting for the black one to come back in!Another personal preference which I do not account to the belt is I am not a fan of the buckle, it feels cheap compared to the rest of the belt, and I do not like how shiny it is. Luckily it is easy to replace!!!

Good-looking, quality belt but very stout and may not work with all holsters.
Very good, thick, stout belt. Clearly high-quality. Been wearing it for a month now and it shows no sign of wear. I gave four stars out of five only because it is so stout that it will not work with my DeSantis Scabbard holster; it's significantly stiffer than the leather the holster is made of and the holster just flattens out. If I put the holster on and try to insert the gun it won't go in. If I put the gun in the holster and put the holster on the belt the gun won't come out. It works just fine with my Galco Fletch though. Luckily, I have other belts so it's just a matter of mixing the right combination of holster and belt. In any case, the Tejas is a good-looking, quality belt that will probably keep looking good for many years.

So far, excellent belt
May update in a year or two after wearing it for a while, but so far about a month in, this belt rocks. Very sturdy.
