Want something about anyone can use? Well you found the right tool for it all. This system works great! You can merely setup a single target or setup a course. This will ready you for the classes your about to take, help improve your aim, help you use techniques to better yourself, and best of all, you can do it anywhere an open firearm in your hand is allowed. I purchased the 9mm, and ended up getting a 556, 380, and 40s&w dry fire laser also found here on Amazon. All for wonderfully in the chamber (they are hard to remove due to o-rings keeping them snug). All work perfectly with this. I'm an absolute happy owner. If you're looking to do anything I've mentioned, this is definitely a route to exhaust and enjoy!

We really enjoy this system. It is fun and has lots of drills. You can setup target and just play around or use the app and track everything for improving your skills. There are several systems like this, I just chose Mantis because I like it. Packaged well, but I put everything in an Apache 3800 case (H.F. Tools) and it fits nicely. I can keep the stands, targets, camera sun shades and the Mantis case all tucked nicely in the Apache case ( I put the large target in the lid of the Apache case behind the foam and made a strap to keep it al there. I bought a .380, .223 and an additional 9mm laser to go with it. There are places in the Mantis case to store the extra lasers as well. I think it was well worth the price and i will get lots of use from it,

Phenomenal tool!!! other attachments are needed for more advanced techniques and drills. The system is a bit pricey as well as the extras. I set out to shoot 100 rounds, ended up putting in well over 300 this morning alone. I will definitely order the lasers for my rifles as well as for the movement.

Update 2: Received the replacement part and laser is working now. the app and exercises are pretty slick. The reason for not updating to 5 stars is the app is, in some areas, not intuitive; some features like the laser offset aren't working and it seems pretty hyper-sensitive to the slightest vibration of the phone. Update 1: Mantis was quick to respond to my complaint and is sending a replacement part. Changing to 3 stars and will re-evaluate after receiving it. The laser cartridge that comes with it does not work, making the entire kit useless. In the app and on their website there is no information on fixing the cartridge. Reoriented batteries in both directions. It simply does not work.

I am loving Mantis laser training academy. I can already see ways to improve my shots. For instance, I noticed that pull right slightly as I squeeze the trigger. On the range with the recoil it's harder to pinpoint exactly what I'm doing wrong. This is a great to save money on ammo while becoming a much better marksman. Lastly, the variety of drills, targets, and training courses available in the app keeps training fresh and keeps it from getting boring. Highly recommend.

This product is amazing. Great alternative if I miss the range due to work. Able to correct/work my draw and practice basic fundamentals without the cost of the range and ammo. Pros: Easy set up, Portable, everything is included. App tracks multiple weapons. Data is pretty close to what my shot timer displays. Cons: Resetting the hammer/striker each time. Makes it difficult for rapid follow up shot training Will definitely recommend

I thought it was just the laser shooting system. I was unaware at the time it came with an entire digital training course. Equipped with videos and step by step drills ideal for a beginner. I've been able to adjust my grip, stance, trigger pull, and now I'm focusing on the front sight while keeping both eyes open. My accuracy has improved greatly. So far in two days, I've done around 215 laser practice shots, which is also saving a ton of money on ammo.

Everything I'd hoped for and then some! I don't like having to rack the slide for every shot, but that's more a knock against my pistol than anything else. It's striker fired, but I think a hammer-fired variant might be a better choice for this application. After a couple of days I happened to find a TitanX Laser Training Pistol. That plus this makes for a hell of a little training setup! This also comes with a membership to Laser Training Academy which is all but required. The TitanX does not, so if you're planning on doing something with MantisX, you really should just get both!
