Great for 12v led lights that has wall wart adapters.
The media could not be loaded. Ussing this for all my lights that have plug in 12 volt adapters with 5.5 mm plugs. There are lots of fixtures on Amazon. The light is a 12v led light and you can’t put a normal smart dimmer before the wall wart you need to put it after. All mine have a 5.5 mm male and female point one plugs in when setting this up. You need this to go there. You can plug into it with the male side into this device. For me I had to buy the male plug to screw in the other side. I am ussing a “tuya” app. And honestly it is working very stable. After I did a couple I got another brand that had both male and female 5.5 mm adapters o it. Uses the Magic home app. I got three and none of them work. So pack to assembly of these. But the app works.

Awesome Control Module, Excellent Product Support
Check out my other reviews and you'll see that I am objective and only praise truly awesome products. These are clearly designed carefully, with quality being a top priority. I've used several other control modules, some monochrome, some multi-color, some basic on/off switches others like this one, are truly versatile. The WB5 is a redesigned WL5, BTF replaced the screw terminals with spring locking clips. This change alleviates the need to re-torque screw terminals anytime the module or connected wires are moved. The previously purchased dimming control modules melted down when put under any stress. The other manufacturers seem always to over-state the amperage/wattage ratings. This controller will meet the design criteria and likely beyond, (I'm not suggesting over driving them.) The terminals are rated at 6 amps each, but the maximum module rating is 15 amps. I installed two of these control modules in a 180-watt light fixture with 90 watts cool white and 90 watts warm white SMD5630 LED strips, (84 LED bulbs per strip.)In my experience, mixing the color ratings usually results in errors and routine melt downs. But these BTF-Lighting control modules are designed to control pretty much any combination of mono chrome or RGB colored LEDs. I'm learning by doing and assembling my fixtures with the best value components that I can afford. I'd resigned myself to using a modular connectorized controller, rated at 96 watts, to control separate 45-watt banks of SMD5630 LED strips. But after suffering 4 separate melt downs, I looked for and found these BTF-Lighting Modules.I can't say enough about the awesome technical support that BTF-Lighting provided via email. Their patience and persistence in helping me find the correct wiring scheme and setup has been exemplary.I've ordered a set of FUTO36W monochrome control modules offered by BTF-Lighting, as well and I promise I'll carefully test and review that control module, as well. I am proud to be a customer of BTF-Lighting and I can't thank them enough or say enough about how kind and genuine the support team has been. Thanks for reading!DJC

This is pretty freaking rad.
I purchased this to use as a remote dimmer for some accent LED lighting I added to my Gardesol Louvered Pergola (review on that, soon to come). I was a bit skeptical at first but figured I'd give it a go. Very glad I did. This is pretty freaking rad. The app that you use to control it was super easy to setup and use. It has a ton of cool features but the one I use the most is the schedule feature. I have it setup to turn on at a calming 20% brightness at 8:00PM and off at 10:00PM every night. Long enough to dazzle and cause envy with my neighbors who have relegated themselves to using string lights (gross) to light their patio, without me remembering to turn them on or staying up past my bed time to turn them off. There are a few things that I will point out but probably aren't a big deal to most. First, the current output rating on this is 12A @ 12-24VDC. For the size of this unit, that's not something to blink an eye at; its rather impressive. However, the screw terminals aren't capable of holding a wire gauge greater than 14 AWG stranded. Yes, I know that 14 AWG is typically rated for more than 12 Amps, but the 10.4 Amp LED driver that I purchased came with a 12 AWG pigtail and it made the mating of the two rather annoying. So keep that in mind. Secondly, it would be nice if the unit was a tad bit smaller. I have mine installed in a single gang weatherproof box and its just a touch too big to fit in there neatly. It will probably fit fine in a standard single gang box if you were using it indoors. Lastly, its installed in a single gang, waterproof, metal box, outside of my house, and somehow is still able to connect to my Wi-Fi router. I thought for sure that it was a longshot but it works...that's pretty freaking rad. Especially for the price.Final note: The review is asking me to rate the adhesion. I didn't use the adhesive tape that came with it so I can't rate it. Besides, that's a strange feature to ask someone to rate on this.

Works great - when it works. It took a couple tries
When it works, it works great, but often they stop working. The app is easy to use, it connects to Google Home and it drives LED lights just like expected. However I had to go through 3 of these boxes before I got them working. The first worked for 5 min and then stopped connecting online. The second worked while I had one LED strip but when I unplugged it and moved the strip it would only controll my rgbww strip as if it was only an rgb strip. The third also worked great for a day but then when I unplugged and replugged the strips it stoped recognizing my rgbww strip and treated it as an rgbw strip. Now that my led peoject is finished and I don't need to unplug the LEDs anymore, the 4th controller is working great. In all the previous failures, I never exceeded the amp limit or short circuited anything. In general these seem to work great but they are not robust and go out if you look at them weird. Plan to buy 2x the number you need for your project and retuning half of them because they will break. Thankfully, Amazon makes returns really easy

Great system for LED control
I installed some LED strips in our home theatre but wasn’t particularly impressed with the functionality of the controller and the flimsy remote that came with the strips. So I thought I’d try this one as a replacement, which can be used like a normal remote would, but is really meant to be mounted on a wall. While the interface leaves a bit to be desired, it works well and I love that it can handle 4 zones, a real bonus since my project spans two rooms. And since the lights can also be controlled through an app or home automation platforms, the remote interface is less critical.Love this setup. It wasn’t expensive and adds a very professional touch to the project.Note, the remote by itself is not a complete system — it’s actually an optional add-on. You’ll need at least one controller that supplies power to and controls the LEDs directly. More if you want additional zones.
