A very nice easel. Easy to put together and very light.

This easel, once I figured it out, I was one hot mess until I did, is easily foldable, compact and easy to store so I can take on craft shows to use as something to showcase my paintings. It has sleek looks is entirely stable and can hold my huge wooden rounds and my paintbrushes at the same time. So it meets all the ticks for me. I love the way it packs up in a sleek little bag for the on-the-go needs!

This tripod was easy out of the box for set up. It has tips on the legs, easily adjusted, support points for holding display board, etc. It works okay for the purpose for which it was bought - light usage of holding a 2 x3 marker board. In my opinion it would not be sturdy enough for a larger marker board. The legs are adjustable but the width of the foot print, nor the leg tubing seem suitable for heavier presentation or in areas with considerable foot traffic.

I really enjoy this easel. The face that it can be used as a standing easel or a table-top easel is great. It's very lightweight and easy to assemble and use. I am a professional artist and art teacher, when I travel to a student's to teach a painting lesson this easel is easy to bring with me. Also great for painting En Plein Air. I have a similar one for $60.00 from Michael's, that one is a bit sturdier than this but for the price of this you can't beat it. Still sturdy enough and works well.

Great product

I really don't like the fact that there is no way to fix the back leg..so if, say someone accidentally kicks it or slightly pushes it, it just folds up and falls over. What's the point of an easel that doesn't securely hold your art in progress? Also, the hold bar has a raised edge in the front to hold things in place, which is too narrow for an actual easel. Sure, it's probably great as a display stand for poster boards that are thin, but then don't advertise it as an easel. M My 30x40 wouldn't fit length-wide (so 40" doesn't fit into the grip) I'm also not sure about the top grip, as it's springy and closes quite tightly - I feel like with enough time it will dent an canvas. I wasn't going to chance it. Anyway, like I said, I'm sure this is great as a display stand for the price, apart from the whole falling over at any wrong motion toward it thing, but this shouldn't really be advertised as an art easel.. Here's a photo of the difference between the bottom hold tray width and a 24x30 deep edge canvas. With the thin metal lip pointing up, I'm pretty sure it would dent the bottom of the canvas eventually. Sure, it's not the visible part, but still.. Im probably returning this just as soon as I can find something better.

Con: the shelf portion should have a quick release vs. A screw so tools do not have to be carried.
