Great Read!
Holy cow! Everyone should read this. There are so many great stories/examples of how the symptoms of ADHD can show up in people. It’s a roadmap to understanding yourself and others better whether you have a clinical diagnosis of ADHD or not.Highly recommend.

Good resource!
I love this book. I’m a therapist and also have a spouse with ADHD. This book provides helpful information regarding ADHD but not in a shameful way. It’s not super long or overly scientific. It’s an easy read and I feel confident recommending it to clients.

Good information. Too Privileged.
The book is a good intro to learn about ADHD. However, the book used way too many anecdotes, and I was expecting more scientific results. It was good that the book is trying to provide a positive perspective on the ADHD mind, yet it made it sound like something to be super proud of. This is why ADHD looks like a white people pop culture disorder right now. These authors are so privileged by their social class that they grew up with better intelligence, better education, and all kinds of support. These ideas are not as useful for people who are really struggling with ADHD, and it is kind of offensive for those who can't use it as a "superpower".

Excellent Easy to Read
Finally! An excellent easy to read primer on ADHD! It has all the information and positive vibe that we expect from Dr. Hallowell packed into a friendly book that doesn't scare away ADHDers who often avoid reading. Perfect for newly diagnosed as well as those who live or work with someone who has ADHD.Richard R Rogers, PhDLicensed Psychologist

Very Informative and Insightful for a game changing strategy.
I suggest to anyone who has symptoms of ADHD, to take it as kindle and read it with text-to-speech. It really helps to finish all the book and take all the information needed. The book is very good and informative! Well done to publishers and writers! Thank you for giving us guidance! You are the true heroes in this world.

As ADHDer, I found in these pages both clarity and a renewed sense of hope
This book is a revelation—not only in helping me understand the why behind so many of my lifelong habits and struggles, but also in affirming that I am far from alone. It offers a wealth of thoughtful, practical strategies for navigating life with ADHD, from building supportive environments at home, school, and work, to exploring effective exercise, nutrition, and medical options. As a woman diagnosed later in life who carried years of shame around being ‘different,’ I found in these pages both clarity and a renewed sense of hope.

Amazing
I bought this book to try and help my nine year old son who has been diagnosed with ADHD, the information in this book is incredible! Exactly what I was looking for. The crazy thing, as I read along was that I felt as if I was reading a book about all of my struggles in life. I'm almost 50 and I have no doubt that I also have ADHD.

It was okay
I do psychiatry and have adhd, and this book was ‘alright.’ Many of the things they talked about as traits of adhd can also be generalized to the general public, e.g. generosity, stubbornness, creativity being snuffed out by years of criticism, refusal of help. There are helpful tips in terms of things like balancing exercises, but they also recommend an omega supplement when we know valid research does not support it. They recommend avoiding certain foods, which updated research also doesn’t support. I can agree that a whole foods diet is beneficial, but for general health as a whole, and is in no way specific to adhd. I much prefer Russell Barkley, who is a leader in the field of adhd.
