Tested in all sorts of conditions around my home and around where I live. The separation of sounds is awesome and the cardioid pattern is very effective at creating directional audio capture.Having the preamps and gain in the mic itself w/a rechargeable battery is a plus.Overall this is my favorite shotgun mic I've used that isn't a pro grade XLR mic.

The feel of this microphone is the pretty standard bargain basement Chinese dollar store plastic. It's certainly effective though, easily picking up sounds from across the room. I wish there was a way to use it without disabling phone/tablet audio at the same time. In most cases this isn't a problem if you're recording, but I thought this would be nice to use as a microphone for Yousician which utilizes the microphone to listen to your playing while providing a backing track through the speakers. Unfortunately using the mic mutes the speakers, and the audio does not forward into the monitor jack.Many cheap microphones have this problem, but since it's possible to use a headset microphone without losing audio, you know it can be done and it's not entirely a limitation of the phone/tablet hardware.

This mic came fast. It was packaged well with no damage. This came with everything in the description. It’s easy to use of course and is lightweight. It does not have a high quality look and feel to it though. I also do not consider this a mini mic. By no means is this mic mini. It’s not big but I have others that are a lot smaller. I’ve used this a couple times shooting videos and although it was effective I’m not sure if I’m pleased with the results for this price point. I was expecting better quality sound from my videos. In my opinion it’s a little over priced. I’m not trying to say this is a bad mic and you shouldn’t get it but I feel there are better options out there.

This microphone fills the gap between big shotgun microphone and crappy cellphone microphone, I used it with my cellphone and it worked great, nice little unit for quick videos on the go

This SYNCO Mic-U3 Cardioid mic is far better than the one that came with my camera. There are many more options and the needed accessories are included, with the exception of a power adapter for charging. That's not a concern for me since I have several adapters as well as multiple power banks and power strips with onboard USB slots.While I'm happy about the two low-cut options (75 & 150 Hz), I'm REALLY happy about the headphone capability and gain controls which provide more sound control and real-time monitoring while recording, instead of having to guess and/or rely on post-production edits.This mic worked great with the Camcorder and Android phone pictured. I tested them at distances between 2 and 13 feet which represents the range I use most often. Two adhesive magnetic backs are included in this bundle and, combined with the "lip" on the edge of the mic's base, they will definitely provide a secure fit to phones should you choose to use them. I haven't yet used them because I mostly use the videocam and/or tripod or other support, since I self-record a lot. The hotshoe attachment is a necessity for me, so that was a definite consideration when I made the purchase.I'm also a fan of the Mute button that's enabled with a quick press of a button. I'm very happy to have found this very versatile mic at such an affordable price.

We’ve been wanting to buy a mic to use for our YouTube channels but didn’t want to spend another $300 on a Rode mic so we decided to give this a try.The first time we used it the volume was super low and that was with the loudness turned almost all the way up. I thought I’d never use it again but decided to try one more time before reviewing it. Glad we did because the second time the volume was much better, no idea what changed or if it was the distance between us and the mic. We still had to boost it while editing but it was 100% doable. The mic is super small and light weight so it doesn’t mess with my gimbal. For this price I definitely say give it a go and see what you think.

This Shotgun Microphone is a decent little mic. It is easy to use and lightweight. The mic is easy to use on my Phone and it also works with my DSLR. It is not super robust but it works well and does its job. The sound quality is good, provides upgraded sound, and easy to use on the fly.
