Q: how long would this on/when would would a battery(s) need before charging, i need it overnight, as my cctv dont work at night, or any suggestions?

Battery capacity is measured in milliamp hours mAh. In simple terms the bigger the number the longer the battery will last. I doubt very much that you will find a battery with sufficient capacity to last longer than a few hours of constant use. The cost of replacing them would be prohibitive and rechargeables would be too much of a faff. I'd recommend a mains powered LED floodlight, either white light or if you really want then UV. They are not expensive and will work well and can light up a large area effectivly. I do suspect though that UV won't be a good idea as it is "visible" so the surrounding area will appear purple and anything white or flurescent will glow very very brightly. see less

Q: does this actually pick up finger prints on any surface inc white or light surfaces?

Not sure bout fingerprints but it does do urine (dog mess) etc

Q: Can this be ised to clean or kill algae in water?

Not sure about that one, at a guess I’d say no??
