The problem with plastic trophies is they are too light. Are these hollow and open at the bottom so I can add sand and glue it shut???

No they do not open at the bottom...unless you recieve them broken and you add the sand...and glue it back! I like them but 5 out of the 12 was broken!

Not sure, I give them away to recognize my team members when they excel. They display them at their desk. I have never seen anybody throw them away.

What are the dimensions of the base...thinking about a label or something for them

They're about two inches wide - we printed out labels with a label maker and taped them on and it worked out great.
