Elama Countess 16 Piece Embossed Double Bowl Stoneware Dinnerware Set in Ivory

Fell in love when I unpacked this set! The embossing is well done, the finish is very nice. And the design is even nicer in person. Seem sturdy, not too heavy, can be dressed up but will work for casual service too. The solid feel of stoneware but more like nice china. The composition of this set (no mugs, pasta bowls instead) is perfect. Bought a 2nd set for service for 8. (And cleaned out the cupboard of 20 years of mismatched plates and bowls!)

The Elama set of dinnerware I purchased is simply gorgeous! The ivory, gold, and brown colors are exquisitely soft and luxurious. My everyday dinner way will now be my company set. The pieces are heavy as stoneware should be. Each piece was carefully wrapped and packaged. There was no breakage in delivvery. I bough several different sets so I could have a variety of bowls. These bowls are large and can also be used as serving bowls. I love that they are dishwasher and microwave safe. Good job, Elama!

I got this set because they look so pretty and the fact that there are no cups. I don't need anymore cups. I also love the pasta bowls. I like that you get 2 different size plates and 2 different style of bowls. These are just perfect for me. Love them. They are lightweight which is another plus.

Dishes are beautiful. A few flaws in the glaze, but overall satisfied.

These dishes are exactly the color and style that I was looking for. The kind that can be used daily, and can also be dressed up for a special occasion. However, the manufacturing and glazing process has a lot of mistakes. The biggest disappointment is that the dinner and salad plates are warped and rippled in many places- very uneven when sitting and stacking. They also show a glazing line down the middle of most of the dinner plates. Some of the bowls are uneven on the edges too, but is less noticeable. The company was quick to respond to my concern, and sent out replacements for 6 of the plates and 4 of the salad plates. However, those items had many flaws as well, just like the other sets. It's too bad, because they really are the medium weight and style that I wanted! Family members have told me that they are very pretty, aside from the noticeable flaws from manufacturing. I have not rated the durability, because I haven't used them yet. I was trying to decide if I was going to keep them. The answer is yes, if the manufacturer works with me on a solution. Note: I know that there are some dishes that are on the market right now that are designed to be this way. These are not- it's a flaw.

I am very happy with the appearance of the dinnerware set. It is a soft off-white color with dark beige accenting the rims. The embossing adds a decorative flair - a splash of elegance. The stoneware is somewhat inconsistent giving it the rustic handmade feel of an antique. If you want perfectly uniform pieces that are exactly the same, you may be disappointed, but I think they go great with our Rustic Elegance theme. Only two of the eight plates had imperfections on the rims that I was unhappy with. I am reaching out to Elama regarding this and hopefully they can provide a solution. Because of the imperfections I rated this a 4 instead of a 5.

Some of the pieces wete STUNNING, bust most of them had problems with glazing, imperfections, chipping and overall, zero quality control. What I received is NOT AT ALL like the picture. I should have listened to the person who wrote in their review that her stuff from the dollar tree was nicer looking. I was hoping to be able to make at least one set out of 2 but it was just not possible.
