Great product
I bought these for my older ML and they fit great. I don’t know why they are listed only for the W166 because Mercedes SUVs use the same size rails so X166, W166, W164, X164, and W163 all have the same roof rail measures so they should really point that fact out. My only complaint would be that I needed to use the extra rubber squares the sent to create a tighter fit but that wasn’t a big deal. I think it’s worth noting the locking system is a nice touch and I love the all metal construction as many roof rails use lots of plastic.

Mercedes Benz 2015 ML fit
Bought this for a road trip from MN to FL so I could attach my rooftop box. The design is quite good. The rack is very sturdy. A couple of issues with installation: 1. If you don't insert the little rubber pads in between the roof rail and the vertical part of the C clamp, you will not be able to get the locking cover on. There are no instructions about this, I learned by trial and error. 2. Adjusting fit takes some time. Since the fit is done by moving parts that are secured by the hex wrench, there's quite a bit of adjusting and readjusting for the initial fit. Once you get that, off/on is no big deal. Use a better hex wrench than the one supplied -- it'll save your fingers. I used a Bondhus multi-hex wrench for the task and that worked well. If you have the right sized T-wrench, that would be even nicer. This rack is a great value versus what Mercedes charges for theirs. As I said, round trip to Florida with no issues.

Turn the radio up
Pro: very solid and sturdy. Easy to install and remove.Cons: Noisy at speeds exceeding 35 mph. I expected to install these and leave them in-place, but removed them after using them the first time. The wind noise is significant.Oh, and you know those little rubber pads that are necessary for the installation? They melded themselves to the lateral rails on my car. Removing them required a putty knife, a rag, and a liberal dose of WD-40.
