Very good product,good for brows too. It stays,very natural. Much easier then sprays that are messy.

My last container of this product lasted me a few years. This stays on my grats and looks natural. Madison Reed hair color is also excellent and easy to apply. I have been using it for about 5 years.

This powder DOES cover grey hair effectively, but be aware of a few things:1. As it's a powder, it easily dusts your scalp. If your hair is very thin, the powder will be very visible on your skin-and it doesn't come off easily. Water won't remove it. Alcohol only removes it a bit. If you wash it off your scalp, you also wash it off your hair.2. To try to avoid the above, I got the powder slightly damp an smoothed it on. This worked and was less likely to get any on the scalp. It goes on heavier, though, so it looks darker. Just be aware of that.3. If your hair is very thin, you'll need to hold your hair straight out from your scalp and be VERY deliberate where you put this to avoid getting any of the powder on your scalp. Brushing it on opposite 'sides' of your hair help the coverage look better. Go slow. Tapping off the excess helps, and using a VERY gentle hand when brushing this on helps a bit, too.4. It really helps if you've applied hair spray first. It holds the powder very well. It'll last for hours!5. The color is good, but it has NO sheen. Hair naturally does, so it's noticeable that there is no shine at all to the areas you've used this on. If you have a product that you can apply afterward that can add shine to your hair, maybe give that a try.RECOMMEND, BUT WITH CAVEATS.[Addendum] I have since found that using a large, soft blusher brush works much better than the brush this product comes with. I can apply the powder with decent coverage with less worry about the powder noticeably staining my scalp. This is also a much quicker technique. Also, applying hairspray to sections of hair, particularly getting to the base, then ALSO applying the powder to lifted sections of hair at a time works very well.

I purchased this for root touch between going to the salon if needed - I thought this would delay going in to get color and would do it for a few weeks. I had been using this product for several months, but in the beginning of October 2024 I started seeing some hair loss, so I started using this on my scalp to help mask the hair loss. But I started losing more hair. I immediately quit using this product to see if maybe that was what was causing my hair loss and my hair is finally starting to grow back. So I am not sure if it is the ingredients or maybe it blocks up pours on your scalp, but it definitely had consequences for me. May not happen to everyone, but wanted to put this out there. It was very depressing and embarrassing - especially going through the process of growing it back as I had small patches of baldness on the top of my head which was visible! Disappointed! Just beware.

I normally use L'Oreal's Root Touch-up spray to cover my gray roots between coloring. I ordered this touch up as I would be traveling with carry-on only and couldn't fit my spray in the allowed TSA size for liquids. It was very time consuming to get it built up enough to color and it was evident that I had powder on my roots! The only reason I gave even 3 stars was because it works well to shape and fill eyebrows. I ended up having to color my hair earlier than I should have since this gave me no option to use as a touch up during my trip. I am almost 60 and I would not recommend this for any one with white/gray roots.

So great to have this to cover new hair growth before the next dye appointment! It blends easily and has both a 1/4” and 1” brush in a well designed, slim container that also has a mirror! I’m impressed as it lasts longer than I expected and blends perfectly! I have been using it for 2 years and appreciate how compact and complete it is to cover and blend!
