Favorite Toy
This was a pricey item but ended up being my grandson's most favorite toy this Christmas. He is 5 years old and has played non stop with it since Christmas. I purchased some small army figures to complete the overall experience. Great buy for a child.

Scale cars and military vehicles are the best and this is no exception. Goes perfectly with other scale vehicles.

Not to scale but close enough, nice for the price
The model is very good for the price it's not specifically to scale but close enough for most people. The real vehicles is at least another two feet wider. The top hatch does open but not far enough to lay flat as in real life. The rear hatch doesn't have a needed handle of some sort, can only be opened with a tool like a knife. The accompanying machine gun is not correct and looks odd, should be at M-2 50 cal machine gun or SAW or TOW.On the plus side the front engine cover latches are very nice engine detail and the engine itself is very proportionally correct. The undercarriage of the vehicle has very nice detailing including the suspension and drivetrain systems. A good deal for the price. In my pictures I've painted the front guard and rear bumper because they're not black in real life. I plan on painting the vehicle woodland pattern camouflage.

Like the real deal! Worth it if you want ultra realistic!
Wow. I was preparing to be unimpressed, but I'm shocked at how real it is, and the details of it... It's correct in every way possible for a toy. I've driven and used real ones in the army, this is great. The tires could be a better rubber, but they are okay. Overall, wow! I've taken liberty with the help of another cheap plastic 1:18 scale Humvee, and made a rough version of an "update 4 up armor" package using parts of the plastic one. I need to paint details, dremel more, polish adhesive and fill gaps, but its coming along. This metal Humvee is awesome. I'll post more pics as I go along. My goal is to make it as close as I can to my old Convoy Security Vehicle gun truck I commanded in Iraq. It's actually therapeutic. If I could afford more, I'd sure as heck buy more of these metal Humvees. You'll love the details.
