What's the difference between this one and last year's model

All hardware unfortunately is the same. Here is whats new. 1. None pro has a smaller foot print 2. New controller w/ ir blaster, always on mic and rumble 3. Android 7.0.1 w/ Google assistant 4. Stream games now at 4K Numbers 3 and 4 will come to the old model with an update later this year and the new controller can be purchased separately.

Yes, it's Kodi Compatible. In fact, I'd say it's the most Kodi compatible of all the streaming boxes.You don't have to jump through hoops to get Kodi installed either. Just download from the Play Store.

Does this have a web browser?

It does not have a web browser out-of-box. You may install it from play store, or side load it.
