Straps are not soft.
Straps aren't coated like the original but come with a soft sleeve.

would not buy off brand
I would not purchase this item again. Where the magnets are that connect to the frame. That piece broke off, I glued it and was ok for a while and now broke again. Never had this happen with the brand that goes with my machine.

Lasted 1 week, magnet clip on frame broke loose. Unfortunately its is a good frame, too bad it is made to fail aonquickly

I really like the strap covers. It helps keep the marks off your face. This one is a cheaper made but it seems to do the job. I would definitely buy again if needed.
