It"s about 1/8" thick. Very sturdy. Nice weight. Have had mine over 6 years and I cannot live without it since I only have one useful hand. Still in great shape.

Yes, the mats are heat resistant.

Q: How do you wash and dry them to restore stickiness?

I just wash/rinse it under running cool water

Q: Would this work under a spirilizer to hold in place?

I'm certain it provide enough grip for a Spiralizer. Unless something is Wet, Greasy or Gritty, these mats will grip to most objects. They are "tacky feeling", but don't actually "Hold" anything. Only an adhesive or fastener (anchor or screw), will actually "Hold".
