Maybe in between. Like the density of classic classroom blocks but these are smaller. The most interesting thing about blockitecture is the unusual angles involved in placing them together

It is about 1 foot or 30 cm high.

Q: how many are in a set?

There are 10 pieces: 1Black, 2 White, 3 Red, 4 Lt. Blue - All morphing into endless combinations.

Q: what age is this appropriate for

The product bears a restriction for not under 3 yrs likely due to one of the blocks being small. A young relative in the 1st grade played with one set for a few days running. A capability, understanding and interest in balancing and fitting these together would appear to be the entry point. It would seem that using them will also teach the concept. Hope you can judge from this.
