nice plug easy to wire would buy again

I'm a musician in several band with lots of gear to transport, setup and maintain. AC power distribution is always a challenge and our power cables take a lot of abuse. The molded NEMA 5-15P plugs on many of our AC power cables are particularly damage-prone, and finding a replacement plug that is durable, affordable and reasonably compact has been a challenge. So, I've just retrofitted three of these new plugs onto 14AWG cables, and they work as expected. Here are my thoughts: I read and followed the instructions without deviation and there were no surprises. I recommend you do the same. The plugs are noticeably larger in size than the originals, but smaller and lighter than the cylindrical models. As such they will (perhaps just barely) fit side by side on most standard power strips. There is no separate, independent clamp on these connectors. The strain relief is provided when the main assembly screw is tightened. The end result appears to be sturdier than the molded plug it replaces and lighter than the industrial grade cylindrical plug assemblies. I'll have more detail after a few road trips. Quick update: everything is working fine after a few setups and breakdowns. Fifth star still contingent on longer-term performance.

This is great if you ever need to fix any small appliance. I had a hair tool that needed to be fixed. It didn’t seem like it was working so I cut the plug off and added this. Seemed like maybe the wires somehow got disconnected. Most likely from all the use. This helped it work again. Saved so much money since then I didn’t have to replace the expensive hair tool. It looks perfect as well. It’s a good size and is made really well.

Definitely not heavy duty but perfect I would say for light duty use. Ease of use I would say is directly proportional to your own common sense. Great product for the price

Easy setup, working great

It is a bit difficult to put the wires into the screws. The quality is ok. Make sure the wires do not touch each other before you close it. Works for what it is made for.

My Avalon water dispenser’s grounding prong broke off. This was a cheap and simple replacement plug. The plug is slightly larger than the original one, but not too big that it takes up too much space on the outlet.

What I used it for: Contactor cut my TV cable that was hidden behind the drywall. which had the plug on it. I opened the sheathing of the TV wire and connected this new plug. TV works perfectly. Like: Very easy to install, anyone can do this type of repair.
