I used mainly the red ones on 18 guage. I did notice that as the clips are smallest to largest in size, the metal strip that pierces the wires has a slot that does not seem to change size regardless of which one you choose. It is pretty obvious that they use the same piercer in all sizes. This may represent an issue with larger cable sizes as it will make contact, but cut off some wires, or align them in the slot? These do work in a snap and you can bypass soldering, twist tyeing, shrink wrapping, electrical taping to get project done. i would not know how wires were connected untill I either made a test , or dismantled in the future. For the price, not worth returning, and worked quite well .

As far as lower priced Chinese made items on Amazon goes, Nilight is one of my go-to brands. 95% of the time, it’s a great product. This type of quick splice connector, I’m not a huge fan of. I have more issues with these type of connectors, NOT making the connections or NOT keeping the connection. However, I have more success with the Nilight brand than other brands. Just check your connections each time you place one of these! If you don’t mind spending the extra money, get the 3M brand- almost never an issue with 3M.

I have used these type connectors a lot in the past as I worked installing all sorts of automotive aftermarket stuff. These connectors are cheap and brittle. When I had a connection issue and tried removing theses one snapped and I found that the other had cut the wire in half. Ended up using wire nuts that I had in my toolbox so I could get the vehicle back out on the road. I have had to remove and reinstall these type of connectors before and never had any issues. The were made out of a more pliable plastic than these Nilight ones. I bought these cause I had installed two sets of Nilight lights and they seemed good for the price, expected a better quality connector than what was received.
