I modded my dash tray area with a accessory outlet and USB as my phone mount is adjacent. The USB LED glowed on the windshield at night. This product solved that, as I can close the door down on the outlets with the cable headed out . I had to mod with my Dremel to accommodate my Proclip cell phone mount, and drill to fit the outlets. But came out ok, and the "barn door" is great to conceal my outlets/cables with my Jeep normally open. Bonus, I can stick readers / sunglasses and sleeve cases in there and they don't get blown away, as my top is off always unless weather. If you are just using this to cover the tray, very easy and a no brainer. Jeepers, put that top down!

I have seen reviews that say that the panel tray box is loose and you need both hands to open it, this is because the people did not install it correctly. Remove the bolt under the previous insert and screw the new box in place. The bolt is 7mm and it will be firmly attached to the dash.

Just wish there was the screw included as I’ve had a hell of a time trying to find one that fits. Or at least include adhesive but there was none

Does open with a little snag at times. Closed easy, stays closed. We store sunglasses, her cell will fit inside. Overall good purchase.

Like being able to hide my sunglasses. I like having a little more room in that location to put stuff.
