Fit perfectly and works very well for a coleman 288 dual mantle lantern.
After purchasing 3 other generators for coleman 288 dual mantle dual fueled lantern, this is the only one that fit perfectly at the base and works beautifully.

Fits model 288 Coleman lantern perfectly.
This generator fit my Coleman model 288 perfectly and took just a minute to take the old one out and install it . I put new mantles on and had it working just like it was when new . I would purchase this again . All you need is a half inch wrench to take the nut off it’s so easy .

Works great!
Just as advertised! Unfortunately the flange end was a bit bent but it was so well packaged that I know it definitely didn't happen during the shipping process. Tightening it down in the lantern took care of the bend. Side note: while my generator definitely needed replacement, I disassembled the valve (on my CL1 model 286 lantern) and found the valve stem seal was badly worn (at times causing the lantern to stay lit after shut completely off).

Hätte eine Laterne auf dem Flohmarkt erworben die nicht funktionierte. Der Generator war verrottet, Dank das Ersatzgenerators läuft alles wieder, der Einbau war einfach. Der Generator war nach unter 2 Wochen angekommen, fand das gut schnell dafür daß er über den großen Teich kam.
