Would these leather sheets work for stropping?

In my experience, stropping leather has a ribbed underside, and are typically longer than 12 inches and around 3mm thick (2x the thickness of these.) I personally wouldn't use this particular leather for stropping, but I can't imagine it being an impossibility. For those who do not know - stropping is the act of honing the edge of a straight razor. If you've ever seen a western that has a barber scene, you've seen them rubbing the razor across a long leather strap.
