Motorola G31 4/64GB - Mineral Grey

Bought this to replace my Samsung S8 plus. Wanted to find something as close to it but Samsung didn't offer anything in my price range so for the first time in 15 years I went for something different to Samsung. So glad I did. Love this more than my S8. Okay, it doesn't have the QI charge and the sound is a little less good but the pluses outweigh that for me. Screen clear and bright, battery life better than S8, responsive, scrolls smoothly, even better than my S8, not loads of apps installed you don't want that you can't get rid of, lovely little touches like the dual SIM is fantastic. I have two PAYG sims and it can switch between the two depending on coverage. Shake 3 times for the torch and back off again. Place down on its face for do not disturb, these things are brilliant features and I am still learning more. I can even tie my Samsung smart watch into this by downloading Samsung apps from the play store. Bought another for my friend who was equally impressed. Highly recommend this phone and you get a lot at a great price

First Motorola phone and delighted with my purchase. Seems quite a high spec & well made phone for the money. Great screen which is very responsive. Good battery life & useful features like the karate chop to turn on the torch or twist wrist to activate camera. I get the feeling there are more useful features I've yet to discover. Not much in the way of unecessary bloatware which is very welcome. Comes with case so very complete package. Would it be very greedy to ask for a screen protector too? 🤔😉 Very happy so far.

Great phone for all your basic needs. Light weight body looks great and perfect screen size - it feels great in the hand thanks to Motorola's classic design. Durable body (I've dropped it a few times and it just laughed). I've had this phone since 2022 and it still does what I need it to. Battery is immense. You get some flagship phones in 2025 with a smaller battery. Camera will do for a quick 50MP point and shoot. Sure, this is now a pretty out-dated phone in terms of Android / security updates and features, but if you need something basic that does everything reliably - this will serve you well. I upgraded to a Pixel 10 recently, but will be keeping the G31 as a backup until it finally conks out. Still a lot of life left in the old girl yet though.

Having always bought lower end phones in the past, I must say this Moto G31 is without doubt the best budget phone I've bought so far. Great full HD Oled screen and the battery life lasts me two full days with my usage. The main camera is good in bright light and offers good images. In darker conditions it's not so good but does have a night vision option which improves things slightly. The G85 processor and 4GB of RAM is enough for my needs and does the job just fine. The only games I play on my phone are PS4 games via the PS Remote app and it does that no problem with the PS controller connected to the phone via Bluetooth. On the whole it's the best phone I've had and would recommend it to anyone whose after a budget phone. The delivery was really quick to.

Replacement phone for student son. Big screen, that is good. Uses to study university courses and YouTube and music.... and all that administration you have to do. The 5000mah battery useful for all day and the next ( when traveling). Good value. Not recommended for use as a drinks saucer or plate.

I bought this one for my android replacement when my old phone's display was broken, which was also an android one, and has the same UI. So it was easy for me to get back everything by logging into my Gmail. The performance is smooth so far and the display is the best and it's big. The only thing that didn't amaze me is the camera, which obviously you can't complain about at this price point and I'm not sad about that because I got an iPhone for that. I use both simultaneously because the battery in this is insane, it goes for24 hours with 15 percentage balance in juice. So if this is your primary phone for everything think about the camera, or if it's a secondary one cheers for that.

This item was purchased as a present for a member of my family. Phone is easy to set up. No issues connecting it to WiFi. Battery lasts over 24 hrs, but won't last 48 hrs. Don't install Google photos app if you want to use an SD card to save photos to, a new formatted SD card was inserted but the phone would not recognise the SD card. Uninstalled Google photos app and used a different one and the SD card works fine. It's a nice phone, it's not too heavy, easy to hold and handle, some differences using android 11 compared to android 10, but they are good differences. The screen is responsive, the adaptive screen is good, it does adjust when light is either poor or in sunlight, making the screen easy to see in bright sunlight. The sound is really good, even the loudspeaker when making a call or listening to music is louder than my own phone. The ringtone volume is also loud. Overall, for the cost of the phone, it's great value and the one who received the phone as a present is delighted with it. The seller dispatched the phone promptly, I'd recommend the seller, I'd order from them again.

I've had Motorola phones for years and this one is excellent. It was easy to transfer everything from my G7 power, it has a good screen size and is lightweight and slimmer to hold than my previous one. I've only had it for 3 days and the battery life has been as good as it says in the specs although I don't use my phone for gaming or downloading so I can't comment on the impact that would have. Love the camera, the added features including portrait that fades out the background (photo of my cat included, posing for hers) and cutout (photo of my husband not included as he didn't want to feature) are great and there's lots more on it that I'll try out this weekend now I have some spare time. It's got loads of features I haven't had time to use or explore yet for instance I haven't added facial recognition for phone access or iris recognition on NFC, both features I didn't have on my last phone and the latter is a big plus which I set up immediately with the fingerprint reader to be able to use to pay contactless, something I especially looked for when buying a new phone. The only tiny thing I didn't like was the clear silicone phone case included in the package, it looks cheap, G7 came with a free black silicone case that I never needed to replace, so I've ordered a darker case to replace it together with screen protectors that don't come with the phone but it's such a minor point that doesn't stop me giving this phone 5 stars because I didn't buy it for the case.
