SPMA9602 is really a lithium ion battery model SPMB2000LITX inside a plastic casing which includes a battery charger but not the voltage reducing plug needed to use the charger.It was a little to thick to fit in my transmitter but the battery inside the casing was exactly the one I needed.Works great.

You need this in your Spektrum transmitter if it doesn't already come with it! Before swapping it in, I went through AA batteries like crazy! Just programming a plane can sometimes eat up the AA capacity dialing in everything! So I finally pulled the trigger on it for my DX8e and have not regretted the upgrade! It is a bit costly and there are some less expensive alternatives, but this was a factory battery that is rechargeable without having to remove the battery! It uses the port opening already on the DX8e's battery cover. The fit is very precise, and you do need to remove all the foam inside the battery compartment. I left the foam on the cover to make sure the battery wouldn't rattle. The only complaint I have is that the connector is very difficult to plug into the DX8e unless you have small fingers. I used a small flathead screwdriver to push down and seat the plug. From what I've seen, the other transmitters aren't as bad since the receptacle is situated different, but on the DX8e it's a bit of a pain. Anyway, the battery works perfectly and lasts a good long time! If you're still using AAs, you need this battery! For the price, the charger should be included, though.

Rather strange this. The charger is built into the battery & you use a Spektrum psu to charge, but there are no lights to indicate what's happening. I've concluded it's a slow charger, 8 - 12 hours!You need to switch the tx on & see what the voltage is to decide if it's charged.
