What valve or regulator do I use with this tank?

These are the new style valves. If using on a grill you will need a 5 lb regulator

Is this tank pre- purged ?

It has a tag that says it is pre-purged, but the tank I received leaks. It leaks propane through a defective weld. Since I tried to have it filled, so I can't send it back.

How many lbs. of propane will this hold?

The correct answer is 4.6 gallons.

What is the expiration on these tanks?

These tanks are good for 12 years from the manufacture date. If you are buying from Amazon directly (as opposed to a 3rd party seller) then the tank will be new, within a few months of the manufacture date.

Need a 20 lb tank? This is a great tank.

Ordered this tank for a spare. Tank arrived on time and packaged in a box with paper inside to protect it. Tank arrived in perfect condition with a purged sticker on the valve. Don’t open the valve, leave that to the person filling the tank. Ordered it August 8, 2025 and the tank was manufactured June 2025. In the USA they are certified and can be filled for 12 years.Would recommend this tank.

EMPTY propane tanks

Tanks arrived in a timely manner with no apparent damage. Took them to a filling station and got them topped off. The tanks came already purged and they accepted propane without any problems. I like to have my own tanks and to get them refilled. The exchangeable tanks are not filled to capacity and usually in poor shape. Getting your own tanks and refilling them is cheaper than the exchangeable ones too. These tanks are empty as stated. Many reviewers seemed surprised by this. Would buy again.
