Honestly I should’ve bought this kit first. It has everything down to the thermometer. Very easy to go by. It was all packaged nicely in the box. These candles are Lavender scented w/ lavender herbs I already had. The pics are 4oz tin cans and a small rose mold and this was with 1lb of soy wax 2bags. It melted smoothly and quickly. Thermometer is easy to read. I researched a lot of YouTube videos and found it easy. I let it reach to about 185 F degrees, removed from the double boiler and stirred in the oil of my choice and the color of my choice. I poured the whole bottle since it’s less than a full Oz of liquid. Stirring is VERY important. Stir gently for about 2-3 min or until the dye is melted all the way. Then at 145-150 F I poured to the cans. I read that at this temp it helps to reduce any sink holes if you pour too hot.

The wax is so bad

Este kit de fabricación de velas me ha parecido una opción sencilla y práctica para iniciarse en este tipo de manualidades. Incluye lo básico para poder empezar sin complicaciones y con instrucciones fáciles de seguir, lo cual se agradece si nunca antes has probado a hacer velas. Los moldes y la cera cumplen su función y permiten obtener resultados aceptables desde el primer intento. Sin embargo, hay algunos detalles que no me convencieron del todo. Por ejemplo, los tintes sólidos que trae el kit no se disuelven bien en la cera, lo que hace que el color final no quede uniforme y, en mi caso, he preferido no volver a usarlos. También eché en falta ciertos materiales que habría esperado en un set de iniciación, como más variedad de aromas o utensilios adicionales que faciliten el proceso. En general, es un kit útil para aprender y experimentar, pero si se busca un resultado más profesional o completo, probablemente se necesiten materiales extra. Creo que con un poco más de variedad y mejor calidad en los tintes sería una opción mucho más recomendable. Aun así, para dar los primeros pasos en el mundo de las velas caseras, está bastante bien.
