Q: The box says no steam sterilizing. Is this an absolute? Daycare steam sterilizes everything. What is this made of different than bottles and nipple

The cup is made from plastics which break down during steam sanitizing. They probably say no to that because it could start to ruin the cup, cause more leaks, etc. I would look into a glass cup maybe by oxo tot

Yes, that is the double-edge sword of the lollacup. The straw is wide enough for a smoothie and there is no spill-proof valve to block the fruit bits from passing through. In addition, it is much easier to use and clean because there is no valve built into the straw. That being said, it will leak if held upside down. This cup was not created to be spill-proof. It was designed for ease of use. I hope that helps!

Q: How easy is it for baby to suck liquid up the straw?

My baby is 6.5 months and is just figuring out how to suck on a straw because he's only used a bottle so far. But a couple of times he seems to like, "accidentally" suck and then it hits him that if he uses his mouth differently than drinking from a bottle, he can suck from a straw. But he can definitely get liquid out of it. Hope that helps!

We do not have a jujube bff on-hand to test it with, but the diameter of the Lollacup without the handles is 8cm. Hope that helps!!
