There are probably two groups of consumers for this product: those who are making items for the home (comforters, pillows etc) and those who are making items for the outdoors (garments, sleeping bags, etc). My feeling is this product, which is more aptly described as “downy feather,” would be great for home projects, but is not an ideal choice for super lightweight sleeping bags and outerwear. I had a chance to compare down from three sources (when I slit open a sleeping bag and a winter down jacket and when I opened this product). The down in the sleeping bag and jacket was very fine with no noticeable rib. This down, which is clearly ribbed, will have somewhat more weight at the expense of its warmth and loft. In my application, to add down to a backpacking sleeping bag, this product was satisfactory. It added enough volume to prevent the original down from settling to the edges at night. But if I were sewing a lightweight sleeping bag from scratch, I would shop for a higher quality down without noticeable ribs.

I purchased this to convert a 36” body pillow into a feather pillow. I kept a layer of cotton to encase the feathers in, and I ended up using 2 of these bags of feathers, but it is so fluffy and a great night sleep! Feathers are clean, lots of down. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs down/ feathers!

There were so many feathers poking that I could not use for stuffing pillow. Loaded with feathers. Not soft or plush.

I gave this 3 stars not for the product as much as the quantity. Bought to stuff a bench pillow and upon receiving it was only a pound ( who knew) it was such a small amount. Ended up adding poly stuffing to fill the rest. Pricey

I was happy to find a company that sells feathers for stuffing pillows. My forever feather pillow didn't have much stuffing left and I was dreading having to throw it away when a friend suggested Amazon to see if they sold feathers for stuffing. They did, the reviews on what I ended up buying were good so decided to go with that particular brand. The box arrived sooner than expected and is exactly what I was hoping for. My pillow is like new and I'm thrilled. It is a messy process to transfer the feathers into the pillow, but worth it.

It is a bag of feathers which is what is described, and it arrived quickly but you need to know that feathers will fly everywhere every time you open it. You need to stuff outside, and you will have feathers all over you that follow you inside. This 2' x 2' bag filled 3 small pillow liners with down (you will need liners). I recommend buying pre-filled down pillow inserts or having a lot of liners ready and several bags and just get the mess over with quickly. The finished pillows are very soft and comfy.
