Crisp and Brief - which is what I wanted
I did not want to spend a lot of time reading a 'complete reference' kind of a uVM material which is why I did not have the patience to read the uVM documentation. I wanted a quick intro so that I get an idea about what uVM is and why its claimed to be a powerful methodology, so that when I start coding in uVM style, I'll know what to look for where. This book suited my need almost perfectly. Took only about 2 days to read it. I have not yet tried the example code so far, but I now have the confidence that I can quickly develop a simple uVM based test-bench. Thanks for the book!

Good overall book and it does exactly as it's title states.
The book is a good concise beginners book for UVM. It alsogets one started as the title states. Provides a wellorganized overall of UVM with good code examples. What makes it better is that it does not bother introducingconcepts like OOP(Object Oriented Programming) orSystemVerilog or verification.. It assume the reader knows all thisand gets right into UVM itself.Like one of the other reviewers, I give it a 4 star because itdoes not have the code online. In some cases it is a little too brief, but that isthe point of book.

Basic UVM without the frills
Reasonably written and easy to read, this book introduces the Universal Verification Methodology in a straightforward manner. While it does demonstrate a relatively simple example, practitioners will find it lacks enough depth needed to code really complex verification environments. This is a good start, but the reader will want to get more.

I strongly recommend this one and UVM primer
This is indeed a beginner's guide (no difficult examples and cover basics of all major testbench components). But I suggest that you read "UVM Primer" first before reading this one (some concepts in the first chapter may get you confused if you don't know anything about UVM). I strongly recommend this one and UVM primer!

Good Book for beginners to understand the UVM concept
The book covers the fundamental concepts of UVM in an easy to read & understand format. It is worth more than its price.

introductory but useless without code
The code is not available, so it is no better than some introductory foils. Unless there are some labs to go with the lecture, this topic is difficult to grasp.

Not a beginner's guide, but good enough for a start
Vanessa's book has the layout of a beginniner's aka Dummy's/ Idiot's guide. But it requires verification skills, UVM Reference, UVM websites (verificationacademy.com, accelara.org), and a whole lot of patience to fully comprehend. i can understand the reluctance in providing source code, but lack of appendix is a big concern- especially with all the jargon!Overall, this is not a weekend read that I first thought.
