You have to be careful not to put too much water in, but the seeds sprouted very quickly. I will use it again, next year.

As a person who has trouble growing plants, I can verify this helps maximize germination and growth rate. I had sprouts growing strong within 2-3 days of planting that usually takes me 1 week to get with regular store bought soil. Holds moisture pretty well. When starting, make sure to place these *upright* in the cells before adding water, otherwise they’re going to not expand properly, and likely break your cells’ walls if you are using fiber/pulp based trays. A lot of the pellets were broken in the bag but that actually made it easier to measure out the right amount of soil for each cell without overflowing. The sole negative aspect I experienced wasn’t with the product itself, but with the price. It works 3x as well as store bought soil but is also 5x more expensive. I just wish these were cheaper because otherwise this would be my go to soil for everything. I think next time I’m going to mix these 1:2 with regular top soil to try germinating my plants.

These work great and helped with seed germination. Only thing to keep in mind is these pods are round and swell a lot, don't do like I did and put them in square containers. If you do, you run the possibility of destroying your seedlings trying to get them out.

pellets are very small and overpriced, they sound like a great product but would not buy again.

One each in our 40cell, single sprout, tray was perfect. Just keep in mind how small they are and how many you’ll need for the cell size you have. There was some powder and a couple broken ones but we just grouped the broken ones together to fill a cell. We haven’t had any sprouts yet so I’ll update with that in a month but otherwise, we’re pleased. In fact I had to order a second batch to fill the rest of my trays.
