White Out (24690) (24690 series) : Dark, A. A., Angelini, Alaska: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: fantastic read - So many twists and turns, great writing, constantly had me guessing and dying to find out what happens next, cant wait to read the next book Review: Dark and disturbing, but can’t put it down - Book 2 in the 24690 series. Another good read, a great storyline and great characters. This is edge of your seat stuff. Wondering what happens next. I am however finding myself disliking main character Everleigh. It’s a long hard read, I went straight from book 1 to book 2. So much darkness in this series, I can’t put it all in the review as it won’t get posted on desertcart. I don’t think I’ve read anything so dark and disturbing. But I’m determined to get to the end. I’m just hoping it makes me happy.

Brilliant says it all
I thought book 1 was good but this had it beat. Well written balancing out the horrors of Whitlock with the emotions of a person in love. Torture, terror and punishment all in one place. I'm glad for now she got what she wanted.

disappointed
I don't know where this book was going. After finishing the first book, I gave the second book a chance but to be honest, I got bored and couldn't even be bothered to finish it.

Oh well
I like the book, it is so dark it is black, take more of the trigger warnings. I would definitely recommend if you are into dark read. I need to read the next book as I have so many unanswered questions!

Another banger
Another banger. I've got to say I have really been sucked into the whitlock world. My god, this book has had a grip on me. As it awful as it is, my heart bled a little for West Harper at times in this. Hoping to enjoy more of the whitlock books.

AA Dark manipulates my emotions as 24690 manipulates men.
This is truly a "Dark Read" and content warnings should be considered. If you haven't read 24690, then read that first. This sequel relies on knowledge of the world of Whitlock and the masters therein. The last book left us on something of a cliffhanger and AA Dark does not disappoint. A gripping storyline, characters that seem so real you can't help but feel for them even as your recoil from their actions, and, of course, Slave 24690. Buy it. Love it, but set aside a whole day to read this as you will NOT want to put it down!

Another great ending
I think this author likes cliffhanger endings. I did like this book, but the first was slightly better. Spoiler warning I really don’t like how 24690 has changed in this book. But who can blame her after how Bram has treated her, he was watching how West treated her, everything that she’s been through and he didn’t try and save her. He needs to stop calling her slave, she so much more now. I’m hoping in book 3 he is her saviour from herself, if he can do that they will live happily ever after.
