I needed just a simple customizable light to go on my night table, and this was really a fantastic option. Just follow the instructions and it will be easy to pair. The brightness is pretty good as well.

Very hard to set up. Pretty I guess, but worth $30? Not so much as it is impossible to add to the app and actually use the features it claims to have. Returning.

I had made my own wake up light from a water projection lamp that I replaced the lights and electronics with an ESP32 and some addressable LEDs and loved waking up that way for about a year. It finally died after getting knocked off the dresser and after 6 months of not getting around to repairing it I saw this lamp available for review via Amazon Vine and decided to give it a shot.First off, this thing is incredibly bright! Even behind things on the dresser on the opposite side of the room, 1% is more than enough to pull myself and my other half out of our slumber. At 100% the room is bright enough, again behind things on the dresser, that we don't even need to turn on the main room light when it's still dark outside to get ready in the morning. I would estimate it's approximately a 40-60 watt incandescent light equivalent and the diffusion dome across the top distributes the light softly and evenly throughout the room.The light is also much bigger than it appears in the pictures. I expected something ~3-4" in diameter but it turns out it's really ~5" which doesn't sound like much but it definitely looks larger in person than the pictures made it appear.I have it set using the "Rhythms" section of the app to come on at 1% when the alarm is set to go off and to ramp up over the course of the next hour to 100% brightness while also transitioning from warm white at the 1% to cool white at the 100%. Then I had to set a scheduled off time an hour after that in another section of the app in order to turn it off an hour after it got to 100% brightness.The tap control on the top of the lamp is easy to use and I like it quite a bit for turning the lamp on/off and brightening/dimming without requiring the app. The other button on the machine is located near the power socket on the back and is for changing through the colors (warm white, cool white, and rainbow colors). I've found that it works but it's just easier to go through the app to set the color/pattern you want.There are several "Scenes" built into the app that set preset colors and brightness levels. Many of these are reasonable (Night is dim, Read is moderately bright, Working is maximum brightness) but there are a few that I can't see the difference between (Colorful & Dazzling appear to both cycle through rainbow colors at approximately the same rate from what I can see).There's also a music mode that asked for permissions to the microphone on my phone so I assume the light doesn't have its own microphone built in? It appeared to flash colorfully to a beat but wasn't super configurable beyond that. Kinda gimmicky if you ask me and I doubt I'll use it for that much if at all.

This paired easily with Smarthome and Alexa apps on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and I was able to control it right away. Note: as with all 2.4GHz-only devices you may have to temporarily shut off 5GHz on your wireless router if you are having trouble pairing it.I really like the different colors and brightness intensity levels in addition to the various white light temperatures. It also has a timer, sleep, and wake-up functions as well as various scheduling functions similar to many smart lights. Can be controlled with voice commands via Alexa although I rarely use voice commands and use the Alexa app on my iPhone.The round orb looks very cool especially when used with the “music mode” available. I played Dvorak and the light show was interesting.Watchout: When not in use and plugged-in, the orb does become warm which means it continuously draws power even when off. I measured the current draw during use and when off. During use, it draws 10-30 mA while off it draws 10 mA. Wifi devices are notorious “vampire power” users due to the modem always on ready to accept wireless commands.This device will be used extensively indoors during the cool months and outside around our firepit.Bottom Line: Fun LED light orb for enjoyment of music, as a nightlight, or just background lighting.

i love everything about this smart lamp. it is so easy to use. perfect size. the soft glow is so relaxing. there is no glare, just a warm soothing glowing light. perfect for the nursery to look check on baby. practicable to use in elderly room to prevent falls when you get up during the night. so many different uses. i am going to use it at front door on Halloween when i give out candy. i love, love, love this light.
