Great and easy to use in growing seeds to plants

After months of using this I can it's a fantastic hyrdopnic system. I've successfully grown a variety of veggies and flowers so I highly recommend this!!

This NEW 2023 model is a fair value for the money and has improvements over the original. It has 36W LED lights which is a step up from other comparable machines in this price range. The lights are a little more harsh than an Aerogarden with a yellowish cast, but at least they aren't purple. The fit and finish of the Spider Garden is OK, but I had to putz with the grow deck to get it to fit and snap into place. This item will work fine for its intended purpose; it has a sufficient pump to move the water, a large water tank, and 12 grow pod capacity.Here are the negatives. Too many holes in the deck; I suppose those small holes are for trellis but they are not discussed in the documentation. They need to be covered to keep light from the water and prevent algae. And speaking of openings on the deck, there should be many more spacers (grow hole covers) included. Most experienced hydroponic gardeners will very seldom plant in all available holes, so the ones not planted need to be covered to keep light and critters out.I find the documentation lacking. No explanation of how to reset timer, what to expect if there's a power blip, etc.And finally, the grow baskets are NOT a standard Aerogarden size. Since many people own Aerogardens, it is helpful if the baskets, sponges, spacers, etc. are STANDARD SIZES. For anyone looking, there are replacement grow baskets that will fit this machine made by IDOO (ID-IG301-BKT). They are sold here on Amazon and are made to fit a 1.18" opening.All things considered, this is a great beginner hydroponic system. Easy to use even without detailed documentation. I will add that an email I sent to Spider Farmer customer service was quickly responded to and my questions about where to find additional grow baskets was answered.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. Worked great for about 4 months, results were slower then we expected but product worked well.The unit suddenly stopped working after about 4 months and we contacted the company directly for support. We got the most basic, automated suggestions for addressing / troubleshooting like plug out, plug in 🤦‍♂️. After that, they said that someone from Amazon would assist. There has been zero assistance since. Very disappointed with follow up support, and the unit is sitting with nothing in it on our kitchen counter. Very disappointing, really hope they either send us a new unit, or give us our money back.

I purchased two of these systems around New Year. First I had tried a much more expensive system that had the electronics integrated into the container wall and was able to refill itself. But the light must have been defective because everything sprouted and then nothing. It just sat there and din't grow any further.I got one of the Spider Farmers, used the water with the nutrient solution of the earlier system and rescued some of the plants (which started to grow just fine right away). As soon as I saw how great this system is, I got a second one. One is growing lettuce, the other has herbs. I've already harvested lots of basil, dill, chives and lettuce. I'm even using the lettuce and herbs for juicing because they grow faster than I can eat them. Awesome!What I like is that the container sits on top of the electronics (not integrated). So I can take the container off and wash it without having to watch out for any display/electronics.I did not use the food that came with it. I got some Spiderfarmer food plus a couple of products from Microlife Hydroponics. My plants grow like crazy so I think they like it.I saw one review giving it one star because the person couldn't set the time. I am a bit baffled by that because I had no trouble. You have to go into the settings. If you select herbs, it gives you 12 hours, if you select fruiting plants, it gives you 16 hours. And then it lets you set the starting time to 6 am if you want. I don't use the Wifi either because I can set everything in the system settings. I even had a power outage and all I had to do was set the clock again. It remembered all my other settings. Just check the settings if you have trouble. It's all there.Update June '25: One of the lights started to dim and flicker and customer service was wonderful. They were very responsive and immediately sent out an entire new unit!

I have just received the first hydro system in my life from Spider Farmer LED. It took a few days from ordering to receiving the products. Everything came quickly and without any damage. Installation of the device is very simple and the manual explains everything. The product has two lighting modes VEG and BLOOM which is very important in the growth of our plants. Another great thing is the option to raise the lighting as our plants grow. The built-in timer allows us to provide light for 4h 8h 12h 16h. Everything depends on our needs. The last most important thing for me in this system is that it looks very nice and that it will perform a decorative function on my kitchen countertop. Now I just have to decide what to farm. But probably some herbs or strawberries. I plan to buy a few more and give it to my relatives as a gift. Thank you, Spider Farmer LED

The media could not be loaded. This is an exceppent hydroponics system with high performance. I was able to harvest lettuce just within 25 days. Many options to control light timings and brightness. 12-pods, 36 wattage lights, 15 inches height adjustment, easy to take out the bowl are a few pros to highlight. The only minor issue I noticed is that the pods are little loose. Not a bug deal though. Overall I like this system and I recommend it. In many cases, it is better than Aerogarden models which comes at the same price range. I have grown Radishes, Kale, and Lettuce, and all of them turned out excellent.
