They were very delicious!

This box of Turkish delight arrived tightly wrapped in plastic, mailed in a paper mailing envelope with no bubble wrap. This was fine; there was no leaking or breakage to report. The cubes of Turkish delight are small and covered thickly in a mixture of powdered sugar and cornstarch. It was hard to see which flavor was which because the coating obscured the colors. The pieces were quite firm with a bit of chew to them, which I personally like, but I understand that ideally they would be softer. The flavors were subtle. I very much liked the rose ones. The orange pieces had a nice flavor but the lemon needed a stronger hint of natural lemon, although my palate needed clearing to appreciate it after trying the rose. I am not rating this higher because the cornstarch was a little over the top, although I can see where that might be necessary when mass producing these little treats to prevent sticking. I'd like to try some of the other flavors (blackberry, peach, etc.) but cannot see myself purchasing these with any regularity.

This is the first time trying Turkish delights and it was a real pleasure eating this. The flavors are definitely more on the subtle side but it I can say that the rose flavor is a more acquired taste but I like it (it may taste like a fancy soap for others). I’m looking forward to getting more and trying the other flavors. Just make sure you have some napkins for the excess starch powder as it will get all over your table if not careful enough.

I read about lokum and had to try it, so I ordered this. It was good, but nothing special. Tasted similar to grocery store gummy candies. Considering what I read about it, I'm assuming this just isn't the best brand. It certainly wasn't worth $8. I'll try to make my own next time.

It has way too muchPowdered sugar, think they dumped a whole bag of it on it, and it's very chewy.It doesn't dissolve well and the taste is just not there. It's thick chewy.I had to spit it out would not recommend, don't waste your money.Glad I didn't buy anything more expensive
