Ridiculously good value
I ordered this kit to create a RPi4-based Volumio streamer to replace an aging Sonos Player. At the time of purchase, this kit went for $40, so for about $80, I've got something I'm comparing to a $400 Sonos product.First off, the materials and build quality are way higher than expected. The tolerances on all the parts is fantastic, and everything went together very easily, as soon as I was brave enough to just pull off the stock heatsinks on the RPi. The only negative on assembly was that one of the screws for attaching the standoffs to the DAC board was missing. It didn't affect the build, though.Once it was together, it fired up first time. Using only passive cooling, the board runs pretty hot, but I have it in a media closet with a bunch of other amps and networking equipment, so it's not optimal. The RPi doesn't overheat, but the outside of the enclosure is definitely receiving its fair share of thermal contact. The first thing I noticed when I plugged it into our whole-house audio distribution system was a noticeable increase in audio quality over the Sonos. You wouldn't think ceiling speakers and Spotify would be tremendously revealing, but the difference was not small. I can't tell you whether that's only due to the DAC, or if Volumio's processing preserves fidelity better than Sonos, but either way, I was not expecting such a big difference. It's rare to find a product that hits that much above its weight class, but this little kit hits the spot.

Real nice
Easy and fast to put together. Using Volumio for multi room audio, and all I had to do was to choose IQaudiO DAC Plus as DAC Model in Volumio's control panel and restart. Perfect!

Good but minor power issues.
This is a decent board and great enclosure. However the unit will distort unless you have a power supply that provides a lot of current overhead. I've used other PI DACs that don't seem as sensitive.

Power packed for the price!
This little wonder is worth its weight in gold. It took only minutes to put together and follow instructions to activate monitor. The 3.5 inch screen has very good backlight and viewing angles. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for high quality at a cheap price.

The case is nice, but no sound output
The board simply will not output sound despite trying multiple versions of Ubuntu, Volumio and Raspberry Pi OS.The case is nice, but that's not why I had bought this.

Not Currently Compatible with Volumio 3
I was quite disappointed to find that this product is not compatible with Volumio 3. I guess I could have searched the Wiki and found that out before buying but I trusted the seller who said it was compatible with Volumio 3. I was able to get it to work by selecting HiFiBerry DAC.Also, I was surprised to find that there is no hardware volume control. You'll have to use the software volume control which affects sound quality.UPDATE: Increased to 4 stars since I am able to use this with Volumio 3 and it seems to be working well although I wonder if I miss some functionality selecting it as HiFiBerry DAC. The sound is good and is a noticeable improvement over using the built in audio of the Raspberry PI.The case is very nice - high quality. Looks great. Though it is a metal case, it does not appear to affect the signal quality for the WiFi connection.

works, sounds great!
I was a bit skeptical since there were zero reviews when I order thios, but for $5 more than just a DAC board why not take a chance?I'm glad I did. I already had Volumio installed and working with an USB sound card and I thought it sounded pretty good but I wanted to get rid of the dongle to clean up the wiring. This DAC sounds significantly better and the case fits the Pi perfectly. It was about 20 minutes from the Amazon delivery to up and running.

Great case, good DAC
Great case with easy and solid build quality. DAC functions very well with my high resolution FLAC and DSD music. I wish there was a similar case for SPDIF output hats. Needed a DAC for this build, just need digital out for another. No issues with heat or wifi. Works well with Volumio 3.
