I worked with Ofra on this album. She was every inch a perfectionist and wanted to ensure that the English language used was not your average poor translation from the Hebrew or Yemenite origin of the song. What amazed me the most about Ofra was her ability to just get it right first time. She worked tirelessly - and perfectly. She was beautiful inside and out. I wasn't credited for my translation, as this had been contracted out, but she wasn't happy with the result. She did find the space to thank me on the album sleeve, which was typical of her generosity of spirit.The first time I met Ofra, I didn't know who she was, and we celebrated Passover together at friends. I enjoyed singing along to all the religious melodies - and together we harmonised and smiled and sang. At the end of the evening, she said to me almost crying: "Thank you so much - nobody has dared to sing with me for many years." I thought it was a very strange thing to say - until I later found out who she was!We became good friends, spending many hours together - but for too short a time. I remember walking down Regent Street with her to buy English Language tapes so that she could perfect her spoken English.... within minutes we were mobbed by fans, all calling out her name through the shop window. The sadness of her lonely life was often all too abundant. She was held on a pedestal, imprisoned by her own greatness. It breaks my heart to see pictures of her, or hear her voice.The best thing about this album is that I believe it is one of the original recordings that have not been remixed by her manager, Bezalel Aloni. So it is authentic, purely Ofra and as such, totally beautiful.

I originally bought the LP centuries ago, now I got the CD. Great, I Love All the tracks.

Every Mintune of this album is wonderful! From Ofra's beautiful voice to the amazing late-80's sounds! Love it and would recommend to anymone who looks Ofra or likes 80's music with a twist!
