Great in theory... :'(
Second review (1 star) 9/12/18:I bought a second one, and made VERY CAREFUL SURE not to let the bottom get wet. It lasted longer, but still died for no apparent reason after a couple of months of using a few times a week. Also, the silicone and plastic pieces fall apart pretty easily, and you can't get them back together.Like I said in my first review - the product itself is a great idea, and in some ways it was smartly designed (but other ways really stupidly designed, so there's that), but the price point is just WAY TOO HIGH for this lack of quality.-----First review (2 stars) 2/11/18:It worked great for a week. Then one night, I set it to clean, went to my room, came back about 20 minutes later, and it was still running, but on a lower speed. (It's supposed to run for like 2 minutes, then off.) I pressed the power button, and nothing happened. It kept running. I picked it up, and notice a rust-colored ooze coming from the bottom. I took off the battery cover, and knocked the battery out, so it would stop. I removed the battery, and it didn't *appear* to be oozing or corroded. I smelled it, and it didn't smell rusty. I cleaned out the terminal, and put in a brand new fresh battery. I turned it on, and it still only runs on the super low speed. The actual basket area where you put your contact is smartly designed, but I don't know WTF is wrong with the electrical. I thought it was expensive even when I thought it might last a couple of years. But for about 10 bucks per use, it's going right back.

Great buy! Love it.
The media could not be loaded. Must have if you use colored contacts! I heard about this product from an ophthalmologist friend and because colored contacts are usually less comfortable, I bought this little machine. It works surprisingly well, every day the lenses feel like new. It’s very easy to use, just put in the contacts and press the start button. The cycle consists of about 10 different frequencies and lasts 2 minutes. My battery is running low so the vibration is not as strong as when it was new, but still obvious to hear the frequency change throughout the cycle.I manually rub the silicone parts under hot water only when i feel the performance is less good (after 2-3 weeks) and it will start to do a good job again.Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

It’s not working right around 2.5 months.
It worked great until last week. I noticed that the blue and red lights don’t come on anymore which is not a problem. But now it won’t shut off. I had to take the battery out to stop it from cleaning. I loved it while it was working. Maybe I can get it replaced.February 16, 2019 They replaced right away and told me not to wet it. I was very carefu but it stopped working. It should be waterproof. When it worked I loved it. It was easy and made my contacts last longer. I think it’s a easy correction in design to make it a great product.

Cleans BUT Room for Product IMprovements (listed)
Sorry for the long review, but here goes:Patient is a 68 YO males with rigid gas permeables both eyes due to corneal dystrophy. Patient has one anterior and one posterior IOL - second IOL in left eye after a 25 yo Alcon iol displaced and... so here I am with contacts.Eyes are very sensitive due to allegories as well, so anything that will do a better job cleaning is fine with me.As an experiment, I bought two of these units, Initially I was very pleased with unit one. But here's the deal:You need to be very careful about NOT GETTING SOLUTION into the unit or into the battery area.Being around 20/50-60 with lenses out, I often miss and put in too much solution. wiping off with a paper towel was fine for a while. Then, one day I noticed the battery was leaking. Well, rusting more like it (from the + terminal).I was getting good results with the following regimen: Cleaning with a B/L cleaner, then putting lenses into the Vuesonic, then running a cleaning cycle - let it sit overnight. In morning, before re-insertion, I ran a second cycle. running Lobob CDS for the cycling.Rinse before insertion in Equate saline. Get very good results with this,,,and have worked up to 12-hours per day with not too much discomfort. Some things as a consumer I would like to see revised in next mold turn on this product:Next version of product should have bigger battery - the single AAA cell is lasting about 2 weeks of my double cycle service.Next, I would like to see a redesign of the product so that it wasn't so easy to slop saline/cleaner into the power switch. In software, pressing the button should turn the unit off if it is already running - it doesn't.For travel the battery deal is OK, but I'd sure like a product with a longer/deeper cycle and a simple wall-wart type power unit. The good news - and why four stars - is that when used with Lobo CDS solution, and then rinsing before insertion, I am getting OK vision Rewetting with the Lobob wetting solution about 5-hours into the day helps. The build quality of the unit is OK, it's just that it's likely hard for well-sighted people to design for those of us in the 20-70 and worse club. Seeing the lenses in the silicone containers is a bit hard - so get tinted lenses - and get a dot on the right lens so you can jeep them straight.I live in a rural setting and work on computers and do a lot of dusty home maintenance (30 acre tree farm) and another eye care tip if you work around diesel engines is to get some of those $8 buck wrap around 9sealing) sun goggles...those help, too.The VueSonic unit works but mine lasted 2 months with unit #1 so on to unit #2 now. AS super good lens cleaner is needed, but this one could stand some improvement. I gave it four stars because at least someone is working the problem and that deserves support IMHO.One more RGP hint? Put some saline in your eye before removing lenses - makes it MUCH eaiser to get them out.

Needs a upgrade for battery compartment, cheaply made
Cleans lens as expected. For such an expensive product, really needs some update or upgrade. In a few weeks of use (wet area, lens fluid, etc). The battery compartment has started rusting. The contact points are degrading. I was disappointed. The concept is great. It cleans lens better than I can with fingers/palm. I’d gladly pay for a more robust product. At 50 something dollars it’s too expensive to be a disposable.

poor design
as someone else had pointed out, the saline solution gets to the battery area because of the vibration and the battery is either corroding or some metal part is rusting. this happened within maybe 5 times of using it.

Clean and comfortable
I like this product a lot! It cleans off debris from the lenses. The harsh, cleaning solutions don't work for me. They burn. Lenses feel betterafter cleaning with this unit.I rinse the lenses well with saline after cleaning. They are very clean. I just have not tried boiling the parts once a week or so.I usually run lenses through a chemical disinfectant after cleaning, so no chance of any infections.
