WISH I KNEW ABOUT THIS PRODUCT 20 YEARS AGO
I'm a natural redhead whose color has faded with age, due to a process that happens to all natural redheads over time, called achromotrichia. Finally decided to try this product after reading lots of reviews and researching henna. Fantastic, natural product that has given me my red color back in a natural looking way. I was a little depressed about people not seeing my red unless I was outside in the sun, in telling me they thought my hair was dark blonde, or even worse: brown lol. Follow the instructions from Light Mountain and ignore all of the crazy complications many reviewers are saying that you should do (because they did it). It's unnecessary. Pay attention to the swatches on the box and follow the directions. RECOMMEND

Pleasantly surprised! Might be a thing I do now…
I wanted to try using henna instead of other dyes. I’ve used colorful hair dyes in the past, mostly Arctic fox.I loved it! It is adding the nice robust reds I desired while keeping the natural variations in my hair colors. There doesn’t seem to be an obvious negative difference as it is growing out.It was like a mud mask for my hair. It smelled kind of nice like an herbal tea. I triple shower capped my head and worked on the computer for a few hours then washed it out.Hair is happier and healthier. Way less color rub off than the dyes. No change to the bath water after the first two washes. I use a clarifying shampoo and conditioner from CostCo, if that matters. Only used slightly extra conditioner the first two washes.

Excellent Product!
Excellent product, lower priced than the expensive Henna brands, yet still pure. Much easier to apply to hair than the ‘elite brands’ of Henna, and beautiful color! I will keep using this brand of Henna as long as it remains below the prices of Henna Body Art (for hair), and other brands of Henna.

My hair is glowing after this henna
I’m Arab, and we’ve been putting henna in our hair and hands since birth. I’ve been searching for good quality henna similar to what I used back home, and this one exceeded my expectations! From the rich color to the fresh, earthy smell, it’s clearly pure and clean henna. Here’s how I prepare it: boil 500 ml of water with one tea bag, then mix it with the henna and squeeze in half a lemon. Let the mixture sit at room temperature for 6–12 hours before applying it to your hair. Sometimes, I also boil onion, garlic, and rosemary with tea, then mix it with the henna for extra strength and hair health. If I want to make it more nourishing, I’ll add a few drops of jojoba or coconut oil.

Gorgeous color that covers gray hairs
I love henna because it's a natural way to boost my naturally red hair. It usually conditions my hair as well. This henna isn't the most Conditioning one I've used. But my hair still looks better than it did before using the henna. It does cover gray as you can see in my photos. I used Red, as I am a natural redhead. This color is beautiful. It turned my brown-red hair more copper. I love the color. I took away one star only because it wasn't as conditioning as others I have tried.

I love this Henna!
I started using Henna 10 years ago because I have natural Auburn hair. I wanted to use a product that would cover my grey without changing the color of the rest of my hair. I didn't have much grey then, and if I used dye, whatever it touched would change. Red hair is challenging to get back if messed up. Henna allows using it on select pieces of hair without worrying about damage or changing the rest of your hair color. Also, henna doesn't lighten your hair. That is important to know. If you are going to use it on a dark hair color, and trying to go light it won't work. It doesn't lift your current color only enhances it. Or in my case blend my grey in with the rest of my hair. If you haven't used it before, be prepared. It is difficult to use at first until you get a routine going, but stick with it, henna is worth the hassle. There are many youtube channels dedicated to the application of it, look that up until you can figure out your own way. I buy hair dye brush applicators to help. It's natural, not chemical-based. You must be careful and read the ingredients to make sure no salts or other additives are included. That is one reason I love the Light Mountain brand, it's natural. My hair is soft and my curls are bouncy afterward, it doesn't strip my hair like other brands. I used to only use the fox box which is red. Sadly, my hair has gone more white in recent years as I am 50, so now I have blended the red with spicy cinnamon. If I don't blend, my hair comes out very electric on the white pieces because those white pieces grab color so well. I also add actual cinnamon to my mix. Light Mountain has a range of colors from light to dark, so much to choose from. Do not use it on hair that is continuously swimming in chlorine! It will turn green. I use a swim cap, I don't care how ridiculous it looks, it's worth not ruining my hair. I will use henna every 4 weeks as it fades away gradually. One box from this company will cover my scalp and my greys and white (shoulder-length) hair twice. I mix it up and what I don't use, I put in the freezer for the next application or if I feel I missed some.Love, Love, Love this company's product.
