I purchase these cookies often because they are the absolute best and nearest-to-homemade that can be found. I think you may be confused as to the weight. The entirety of the order, including the cookies likely weighs three pounds, not the individual bags of cookies. In one bag of cookies there are three individual packages; typically containing seven cookies each. The cookies themselves are thin and crisp. They don't bounce around in in the bag or in transit. So, to reiterate, the order of 7 bags, packaged, is where the 3 pounds comes in. Oh, and as an added benefit, the small minis are the bomb!

Q: Do they arrive in a plain Amazon box?

They do however, I could swear I saw Whole Foods somewhere on the box as well.
