Q: How large are the DE granules in this product? I’m hoping to use it as a cat litter supplement and need them to be “coarse sand” not pea gravel-sized.

It’s the size of kitty litter, not sand.

Q: does it break down when you walk on it

I used it for cat litter. Did not break down with urine.

Q: Since this is 100% diatomaceous earth, can this be used for pest control -- ants, cockroaches, etc.?

The granules are too large for that. I found a super fine powder of DR I. A product labeled bedbug contro!. It was the same type container boric acid for pests come in.
