Great Read
As an introduction to particle physics this book is great. It is a clear and consistent guide full of information that is easy to understand. I really like this book and I highly recommend it.

Great history/ explanation of particle physics
It’s a well done history of particle physics, that takes you along the journey of discovery. You will learn about particle physics for sure. I really enjoyed this book.

very good book
I bought this book as a paper copy for someone special to me and want to let him know more about my field from non-specalist perspective. I read the book first using my prime book subscription and find it very useful for people who want to know a general overview about the field of particle physics with the historical development and the famous names that lead this field.

Good read
An entertaining and fun historical catchup on particle physics for those wanting avoid lots of field theory math and bother

Good but lacking interesting pics
Glad I read this, and enjoyed it mixing it with some other books I was reading on particle physics but it would have been nice to have a few more pictures and not - a majority of heads with bubble texts.

The Road To Comprehension
Good pictorials of all those clever guys involved in the myriad aspects of 'Quantum' - certainly adds to one's overall understanding.

Don't buy this book, waste of time and money
This book has no use of for any level of user. It doesn't teach you anything. It just lists the chronological order of discovery of particles. And lots of selfies of the author. Almost no illustrations, equations, interesting pictures, ideas, methodologies.I read the "Quantum Theory" from the same series. It is really much more deeper and informative than this book for every level. Actually it was so motivating and fun, I read it twice in a month. So in my opinion, don't buy this book, try "Quantum Theory" from McEvoy & Zarate.

Not Really a "Graphic Guide"
It's a concise, nicely written guide with pictures, but not really a "Graphic Guide," to my mind. Rather than graphically illustrating the concepts presented, most of the pictures are simply photos of physicists parroting (or summarizing) the text via cartoon-style "bubbles."

Excellent review of a deep subject in an easily understandable format
I have always had a fascination for particle physics as I grew up in the 50's. This book brought me up to date with this intriguing subject in a fun and easy manner. Now I need to go into it by reading more details in Scientific America.

A good read
This book was a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be but it is very informative and there are lots of pictures to go with the facts, I found this book to be very easy to follow and to understand. A great read!

Unsuitable for Kindle
Like many Kindle publications, small text, particularly on diagrams, is completely illegible no matter how much I expand the view. Thus key points are completely lost.A waste of money on a book which is probably quite good. If only I could read it!!!

Comic style presentation but serious content
I'm not completely won over by the comic book presentation but the book is a superbly condensed resume of atomic physics into cosmology. Once one becomes familiar with the style - and sees through the comic book facade, this is a great little summary of particle physics.

This book is pretty hard going Leaving many assumed concepts poorly explained or skipped. It certainly is not an introduction and without prior knowledge of many of the concepts it would be incomprehensible. Baryonc combinations are particularly badly explained.
