6 inch Applique Scissors without Duck Bill from ThreadNanny

I love to machine applique, addicted to applique is more accurate. If I want to trim a small piece in the hoop, it can become an Olympic event. Twisting and turning around the machine and needle can be a work out to the hands and wrists. I bought the curved scissors but as a right hander, I can't trim to the left with them because the curve goes the opposite way. I have snips. While I absolutely adore my snips, it is easy to snip a hole in the shirt without realizing it. Yes, I have done that more than I care to admit.I finally decided to try the duck bill. My problem is solved! I can trim the applique like a pro! I get right next to the stitches without cutting anything extra. I never have any material or fraying show through the outline stitching any more. Trimming on either side of the design is simple. The scissors are very sharp so I don't pull the shirt and throw off the design. These scissors have saved my sanity and my projects. The price is a steal. Give them a try!!

Love these for my embroidery

These are for machine embroidery appliqué. I have a larger duck bill scissor and needed a smaller pair for tight spots. These are perfect and sharp.

My customers prefer scissors without duckbill for rug hooking projects. Scissors arrived in a timely manner. Good quality.

I'm not blessed with long piano playing fingers, so these were a little bit uncomfortable, but as my first time doing applique embroidery, I was impressed with maneuverability and ease of use. I didn't pick an easy design to start with and it was rather small (5in bunny shark and i had to stitch/cut 3 swatches of fabric in the design with a lot of corners and sharp edges). I had no problems getting close to my stitching without compromising and having to start over. Will definitely order products from ThreadNanny in the future.

Was able to get straight cuts through clear vinyl while in the embroidery hoop. I have only used it 3 times so far and I'm very happy with the sharpness of the scissors

These are lightweight and the perfect size. Seem pretty sharp. I just received my embroidery machine back from service so I will see how well the cut when I am using them on a fabric embroidery project and will edit this review.

They are sharp and doing the job but the quality matches the price, see photos from straight out of the container. The balance in the hand is also lacking.
