After using steel baoding balls in occupational therapy, I sought a pair to continue improving my fine motor skills at home. The reviews of this marble set proved accurate. It is smooth (no blemishes), just the right size, and a good weight in the hand. I am not dropping the balls as I did with the hollow steel set. I'm also finding them great for stress relief. I tossed the box and will keep them on a little tray. I think the set is a good value and quality for the money.

The balls worked perfectly for My hand exercises for therapy due to the light weight of the balls. The balls fit perfectly into my hands without worrying about dropping them onto the floor. I was Able to easily complete the therapies with the balls confidently. They were a pretty and zen color to use.

Would of have a 5 star, for they would have made a nice gift as well, besides purchasing for myself, due to my PT has me using at my appointments, decided to use at home too, the box came broken, had to glue the front back up twice already, very cheap box.

I broke my wrist a few months ago and the therapist suggested that I try some exercise balls to improve the dexterity in my fingers. These appealed to me, rather than cloisonné or metal. When they arrived I was little surprised. They were bit smaller than I was anticipating, but they are very comfortable to use, and they do seem to be providing exercise for my fingers. The quality is very nice, I may buy a slightly larger size in future as well, but for now these are working fine to exercise my fingers, I don't have very small hands, but they are still a bit stiff at the moment , If you have large hands, a slightly larger size might be better for you, but the quality is nice!

I have arthritis in my hands and arms. I did just have pain while sleeping but now it's 24-7. The rubber stress balls were recommended and I bought them, but the squeezing hurts. A colleague gave me two of the chrome balls to use while at work. I thought they are 2 inch balls, and they're big and heavy really. I got these for home, and they are like half the size of the ones my colleague gave me! At first, I thought they were way too small, but like some others said, the size is great! These are easy to manipulate in your hands, and you feel like you are exercising your hands! I didn't think I would feel anything because they're so small, but I guess the small movements really work. I love them and just bought another set so I can have one at the office and one at home. Oh, they're pretty, too, and the box is just fine. The price is also great. Very happy with this purchase.

Update: I purchased a second set for my sister as a birthday gift because she tried mine and liked them so much. I’ve included a picture of them in my hand next to a standard water bottle. Hopefully this is helpful for anyone trying to get a good idea of their size. I love these. I use them for anxiety and they help with that quite a bit. I read somewhere that when you feel anxiety you have to do something physical in order to calm down. Deep breathing works well but sometimes if I use these my breathing starts to deepen all by itself. Basically you distract the brain. I like that they are small, because I have small hands and regular sized ones are huge in my hands. I like that they are also not the ones that make chiming noises. Sometimes I want to be discreet when using them and don’t want noises. I was worried that if I dropped them they might break, but one time I did drop on of them from a good height and it landed on hardwood floor. It didn’t break or scratch. Overall I’m impressed with everything about these. I carry them in my purse daily. I use them almost daily, I find myself using them at night sometimes just before bed because they are sort of hypnotic and relaxing. If you are feeling stressed out or have anxiety yourself, there really is no harm in trying something like this. I didn’t think it would work as well as it does but I’m really happy I gave it a chance.

My doctor advised I get some of these balls to improve the circulation and tendon movement in my hands. Arthritis was limiting my movements. I'm female, wear an XLG glove... I just have large hands, but I'm 5'9'' and large framed. I chose this size hoping they would be easier to move in my hands. There are 2" balls available, but not for me. I found this size works well. It took awhile to get the hang of it. I was glad when I stopped dropping them. Good material, very smooth and cool to the touch. Nice storage box.

Came fabulously packaged for protection and purchased as a gift. Little red box they arrive in is absolutely fine for presentation and storage ... the balls were even bubble wrapped inside the box .... great touch for respecting delicate marble.

These are exactly what I wanted & much better quality than I anticipated. I have used the tinkling balls in the past but wanted the quieter stone ones now. Very pleasantly pleased.
