Exactly what I needed!
I was unfamiliar with how exactly to install these lights into my bug zapper. It's one of the generic ones you can find here on Amazon. Rectangular, with 2 purple lights running horizontally, similar to an = sign. These lights are purple as well. To install them, I had to insert one of the pins into the slot on both sides of the bug zapper at the same time. I pushed the pins into the slot, and then pushed them up and rotated them around the socket enough to line up the second pin, on both sides, into the same slot the first one was pushed through. Push the second pin into the socket and gently, but firmly, keep rotating the bulb until it's in place. You should be able to tell when it's in place by checking the socket beforehand. You should see 2 little notches and the pins should sit in those notches. However, it seems like the socket can be a little fickle with its connections. If it doesn't seem to work at first, you may need to readjust the bulbs for a better connection. I had to do it 2 times. After installation, neither bulb worked. So, I adjusted them and both worked, but one was flickering. I readjusted that one and it's working fine now. Important to note, you should UNPLUG and clear the bug zapper of electricity before messing with the lights. You'll undoubtedly touch the metal and cause it to shock you otherwise. To clear the bug zapper of any electrical charge, you must first UNPLUG, UNPLUG, UNPLUG the bug zapper. Only after it's unplugged, should you take a metal tool, such as a screwdriver, which also has a rubber handle, and touch that to the metal bars near the light bulbs. Another way to clear the electrical charge, assuming you don't have any tools on hand, is by taking a DRY rag and wetting just the tip of one of the corners. Just enough to connect 2 of the metal bars with the wet area of the rag. You want to hold the rag by the dry ends, further away from the wet area. As long as the zapper is unplugged, you're in no real danger, but you can save yourself a shock by keeping away from the wet area while performing this.

Burned out quickly
Very disappointed, bought these in June to replace bulbs in two different bug Zappers. They are on timers that turn on each evening for 4 hours. Two of the bulbs burned out a month ago, one a week ago and the 4th last night. Compared to the original bulbs from the bug zappers that worked on this cycle for over 2 years. This is a big disappointment
