Clay Hair Pomade

For the past few months I’ve been searching for the perfect pomade for my hair. Most pomades were advertised as “matte with a medium hold” but either turned out to be too shiny, too tacky, or had either too strong or too lite of a hold. I found this product after my fiancé did some research to find one with good reviews and a good line of ingredients as well. I was surprised to see how little I needed to use to allow my hair to hold its shape without it being too hard or too soft. My hair holds perfectly and even allows me to run my fingers through my hair without it falling or feeling tacky in my hands. This pomade smells much like a moisturizer which I find to be a great attribute. Washes out very easily with soap in the shower and doesn’t cause my scalp to go dry. It’s an amazing product, and I will surely be a returning customer!

I switched from Johny B Molding Paste because it has gotten quite a bit more expensive than when I started using it, along with making the container smaller. This is the closest alternative I have found. It works really well and holds all day long without problem. Does not leave greasy residue in hair.

Works just as promised. No white flaking, which seems to be an issue with many of the pomades. My husband likes tha natural ingredients and he says it is very easy to use and not too heavy. Update: I just update this review and took it to 4 stars due to the smell, as it is unpleasant. He returned it.

I found the product itself to give lift and texture without stiffness. A little goes a long way. That being said it is so highly fragranced that I would not be able to wear this to any professional setting like work. This makes the product almost obsolete. Please remove the heavy fragrance. I use my own fragrance. I don’t want my fragrance determined by hair products. MOST people do not want their hair products to also be their personal fragrance. Especially this generic oak mossy, axe body spray, punch you in the back of the throat, still gonna taste it an hour later fragrance. It really is strong and not attractive. Reconsider the cheap fragrance and I’ll reconsider the product.

My new favorite pomade. Just grab a small amount rub my hands together then put throughout hair and style. No issues with dandruff like substance or anything. The texture seems odd, yes but trust just rub it together in your hands and it will no longer be gritty. It is really one of the best pomades I’ve used. I like the scent it’s just fresh. I have thinning hair but It works well and does the job!

I’m not sure if they changed the formula to this product or what it could possible be but the quality of this item has gone way down. Before it used to have a nice smooth/creamy feeling to it but now the clay pills up leaving pieces of product in your hair. Only reason I don’t give it one star is cause it still does its job really well of adding texture. The consistency of the product is where the problem is. I hope they revert it back to how it was before or else I don’t see myself buying this item again.

This is my favorite pomade so far, for the price range. It has the hold I want, with a matte finish, and really helps to add volume. If you have very fine, soft hair; this is great. It also holds up well when my hair has grown out a bit longer than usual.
