From the pics it looks like you have to cut off the crusts of regular bread (Wonder & Butternut) so they'll fit inside & make grilled cheese. Do you?

I returned this grilled cheese maker because you could not put fit most bread in the machine. You have to cut off the crust and more. I even bought thin sliced bread and it was hard to close the top to cook. Also the piece that held the top down while cooking broke. I definitely do not recommend you buy this.

The whole thing was junk. Don’t waste your money. They sent me a USED one and then told me I needed to read the description.
