Effective, light-weight, compact device
I was impressed with the quality of the product and how light it was immediately upon opening it. With a wide range of uses based on different positions and using different parts of it, I've found it to be very, very helpful and one of my primary go-to massage tools. It can feel so nice that I have to intentionally stop myself to give my body a break and not have too much pressure! :) It can be challenging to get the right pressure in the desired way in certain parts of the body, but to be fair, it's virtually impossible for any device to do everything well. I've found what works well for me. For instance, the deeper trigger point, targeting my lower middle back tends to be most effective while using it against the back of a chair rather than laying on the ground. With the softer, curved side, I find it stretches and aligns my upper back spine better than even the Chirp wheels do. I find these to be complementary with the wheels good for stretching in general, but this massage puts more precise pressure in particular areas, which can be very helpful. It's so light and compact yet soft that it's easy to carry around the house. I'm curious if it would trigger a manual search of luggage if I travel with it for work since it has a metal core (it should have no problems clearing, but I'm guessing it may get flagged on imaging due to its unique shape). I haven't traveled since I had it yet, but its size and efficacy would make it a nice travel companion. I struggled with the price, as others have noted. It's not cheap. But it is good quality with a long warranty. The customer service is very responsive, as I asked a range of questions. I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider returning it in the 30 day window purely because of price. I love this massager, but with some other big purchases around the same time, I was debating returning it to save some money. I kept it, and I really don't regret it. The metal core, great rubbery coating, warranty, multiple applications, and all the development, planning, and testing that had to go into it likely drives this price. I haven't found anything similar to it. So while I'd still like to see a lower price point for broader accessibility, the device itself is very, very good and one I recommend.

Amazing! Totally worth it
This is a really well designed massager. It is made of very high quality material so It doesn't bend when you are using it and it gets deep into muscle and in between bones. It takes a while to be able to notice the benefits though. The first few times you will probably be moving it around seeing how to reach those painful knots, but once you get used to it, you will see how effective it is to relax those troublesome areas. Although I have a few massagers, this was the only one that was able to release some tension points that I've had for years. I was hesitant about spending the money because it is definitely not cheap, but I'm very glad I decided to do it.

Great Durable Trigger Point Massager
I have broken nearly every electric massager that I’ve bought from pushing too hard onto them. This tool will certainly not break, and is a beast for trigger point releases. I suffer from chronic back knots in my traps and in between my shoulder blades, and this is the best tool I’ve found for targeting the deep tissue. If you like to absolutely crank on your knots and can tolerate (or even like) the mild pain and discomfort that comes with it, this tool will be your best friend. I also use it for mid back, lower back, and glutes and it works great. I’m sure you could use the tool in a more gentle manner, but in my opinion, no pain no gain when it comes to breaking down knots. Have felt my back loosen up significantly while writing this review.

Good tool amd quality, but very high price.
This tool works really well in a bunch of different ways, including access to tight suboccipital muscles. It's painful but helpful, however I'm not sure very thin folks or elderly folks should use it since it really digs in and is not padded at all. It works well for my needs. However- I do not think it should cost more than $50. It does seem like it'll last my entire lifetime, but that price is pretty steep for the average user, even for an independent company, $79 is quite high.

"Hurts so Good"
The LittleMum Shoulder Deep Tissue Massager Tool is AMAZING! But my definition of AMAZING might be different from others, haha. I do Crossfit and am a momma of twins, so I am lifting often. This tool gets deep into my back muscles and releases the tensions and knots that start to cause referral pain if not released regularly. Regular deep deep tissue massages has been my routine in the past but since having the babies I can’t sneak away enough to manage this. That is where the LittleMum has been a life saver. Whenever the day presents a short window of time I can throw this on the ground and take care of all my problem spots right in the comfort of my home! Now to get into the “AMAZING” part. If you are not use to deep tissue trigger point release, this tool can be intense. Anyone who knows the process of finding a trigger point and holding it until it releases knows the saying, “hurts so good”. This is how I would describe this tool, it is very effective and does a great job of releasing trigger points but it isn’t “comfortable”. You can tell it was designed by Physical Therapists, people who truly understand body mechanics and muscle anatomy. I have been incredibly happy with the LittleMum Shoulder Deep Tissue Tool and highly recommend it. I have gotten to the point that I could spend hours, if I had hours, moving it up and down my back searching for every little knot and trigger point because it is so effective at trigger point release. Hopefully this review helps describe an accurate expectation of this tool and how it has helped me.

"The best self-release tool I own," says this chiropractor
Genius design. This thing fits in many different spots on the body just perfectly, and after 3 months I'm still discovering new uses. The first "aha" moment was laying face down on it in the hip flexor area, where it's difficult to get a good release due to the concave nature of the area. This is the only prop that can reach and release adhesions in the adductor, psoas/iliacus, and even low ab attachments (transverse, obliques) - laying on all those little muscle and tendinous insertions around the pubic bone, femur head, anterior ischium...one by one getting little "cracks" and adjustment/releases. Love sliding it up the abdomen, down the front of the legs...and these are all "unofficial" uses! It fits in so many places. One side is a "trigger point" side (the one that appears more like a hook or claw) and the other is "deep tissue" which compresses more. Love to sit on the chaise lounge with it behind my upper back. Laying with it under low back. I only just realized I'm not getting the full psoas use by seeing the video on the LittleMum website. The psoas release works like a lever with the hooks sideways under your prone thorax and you press the available side like a wedge to dig as deep as you can take it. I've been using it on psoas but in a different way, the possibilities are so many. Also found the AMAZING upper back use, from the video too. There's a way to prop it so you have it supporting the base of the skull, while it gives a good release to the traps/lats/rhomboids all the upper back shoulder spots. Some people I've recommended it to don't quite get it (one returned it) so if you're not finding bliss with it check out the video on the LittleMum website for pointers.

Game-Changer for Managing Tension Before It Becomes a Migraine
Absolutely worth it. I’ll admit—I had some reservations. It looks a little strange, and it’s not exactly cheap. But I am so glad I took the leap and purchased the LittleMum. I suffer from migraines with a variety of triggers, and one of the biggest is muscle tension. This tool has been such a gift for working out the knots in my neck and upper back. Once I figured out how to position myself and let my own body weight do the work, everything started clicking. To be clear, this isn’t a miracle cure—it doesn’t erase migraines. But it does help me address the muscle tension before it spirals into a full-blown migraine. And that’s a game-changer. The design mimics the pressure of a deep-tissue massage—think elbows digging in, but with a bit of cushion. I’ve saved so much time and money by using this at home instead of running to get a massage when my tension spikes. If you’re willing to be patient, follow the how-to videos, and use it consistently, this little tool offers real relief. For me, it’s become an essential part of managing pain and staying ahead of my migraine triggers. Highly recommend.

Pure torture
Pain during use and after. The more days I used the worse the pain. I have a pretty good pain tolerance but this was too much. I have another device that helps and involves deep tissue message with some discomfort when kneeding tense muscles and proportional pain relief later. It doesn't have to be intensely painful to help. I could not force myself to do it anymore. I was using my other device to get rid of the pain of this device but pain kept mounting until I gave up. I guess everyone responds differently to different devices and everyone is searching for the aid that works for them.
