LavaLock® Firebox Gasket Tape, 1/8" x 5/8" x 8' self Stick 1000F - LL_GANL

If you want a good insulated firebox and door you need to get this product. I bought this for my smoker and it has performed well. It was easy to install and the adhesive is great. I know it’s a little more expensive but it’s worth every penny. You can’t go wrong with this product.

Works well but the clue definitely do not work, so you need to come up with something else to make it stick. Also, the tape isn't rolled up nicely as you see in the picture. It's more just a scrambled ball of tape.

Used this to seal the fire box and main chamber on my offset smoker and it works great. Holds up to high temp and was easy to apply. Just make sure to clean the surfaces really well before applying. My guess is this will last a couple seasons of low and slow smoking. Cheap enough and easy to replace when needed. Probably the most important mod you can do for an offset smoker to help it maintain correct temps.

This product works well, you have to make sure you clean the area before you apply it or it will not stick which makes sense. I used this on my offset smoker. I put it around the cooking chamber and that worked great! Just don't put it on the firebox, it gets too hot and will just peel off. Otherwise this is a great product.
