The firm sponge cleans really well

Good little sponge that's replaced our bog-standard half-scratchy / half-sponge usual kitchen sink accessory. This cleans well - we found it was better for our pans when things had gotten stuck to them and cleaned them up well. It seems durable enough and has been on our kitchen worktop now for a month or so. We do wash most of our stuff in the dishwasher, but this is used probably three or four times a week for the pans that can't be put into the dishwasher.

Does what it says , but when hard, it's really hard! Maybe a round edge would be easier to get into nooks and crannies.

We use this to clean our glasses that don’t wash well in the dishwasher and honestly it’s like magic.

It’s particularly effective at tackling soap scum in the bathroom and grease on pots and pans in the kitchen, all without scratching surfaces. I like that it works with just water in many cases, which is a bonus if you're avoiding harsh cleaning products. It's great for things like scrubbing down shower tiles or cleaning glass lids, and it manages to lift dirt and oil well. For burnt-on food or heavy-duty messes, it does require a bit of effort, and while it performs reasonably well, I’ve had slightly better results with a metal scourer for those really stubborn jobs. One thing I’ve noticed is that when it’s softened in hot water, it can wear down a bit quicker than I’d like, especially if you're using it on tougher grime. A bit more density might make it last longer in those cases. That said, it’s reusable and hand-washable, and once it dries out it hardens again, ready for next time.
